EDC One Knife Challenge SIGN UP

I'm in with the Bark River Adventurer II. I'm choosing this knife because it's brand new and I did not get it unit late February. And I've never carried a fixed blade exclusively before.

I'll bite. Have to decide between the recon 1, skyline, & para 2 since I don't carry those too much. Any help choosing would be great. But this sounds like a great way to get acquainted with my knives.

My usual EDC is an ESEE Izula and/or a serrated Spyderco folder so...

I will be carrying a Swiss Army Knife for the entire month of March. Now to decide between the Vic Motorist or Wenger 61 Delemont. Might be a Leatherman charge ALX if I ever buy a pocket clip.

Go with the one you wouldn't likely carry.

EDIT: I'm in with the Vic Cadet for the EDC Challenge in March. I think it is just to small for a real EDC.

Reserving a spot. I normally carry a modern liner lock or some sort of Benchmade Axis lock. For the challenge, my EDC will be a Victorinox Cadet or a Leatherman folding knife that my wife owns.

So, do we post the results of the challenge here or in the section for knife reviews?

I'm in. I usually carry a modern folder. Anything from a Tenacious to a SNG. So for my challenge knife, I will be carrying an old Imperial 3 blade.

Reserved for now.. hoping I get my xm-18 back from REK, sporting the new cerakote finish!! Or maybe I'll go with just a traditional.. always wanted to do that but never could get myself to!!

Great idea OP!!

I just got in a SAK Super Tinker as part of a rewards system from an online dealer. I typically carry modern folders, BM940 was my daily companion for a long while before my company made carrying anything over 3" verboden, so the new G10 Mini Grip took its place. It'll definitely be a change since I'll be carrying it sans pocket clip and it's a good bit chunkier.

I have been carrying a Super Tinker my girlfriend got me when we first started dating, a lot lately. I think it would be a decent challenge for someone used to pocket clip knives to just use that.

I've been away from the forums a while, and I think this is a great way too come back! I usually carry my waved szabo, or my emerson karambit. I just got a bm 530, and ill enter the challenge with it. I work in a factory and my blades see a lot of use. I'm picking the 530 because its a lot smaller, less wicked, and more practical in terms of a work blade. :)

Sooooo, you have to choose a knife you wouldn't normally carry? I have knives that I never carry that I just won't for the same reasons that I don't carry them now. How do I go about this? The only way I could do this is to carry a knife that I have carried in the past but don't normally. Is that ok? And I'm guessing that if you do any cooking or what ever that you have to use your EDC, the knife you've chosen for the challenge? And you want either video or photos right? And I'm also guessing that the person that shows the most videos/photos of every day usage is going to win? Just want to get the finer points down if I'm going to participate.

Pick whichever knife you think you would never carry. Yes, EDC is sole cutting tool for entire challenge. Pictures or video for proof, and winner is based on whoever does the coolest stuff with the knife

I will be entering with my wenger esquire I normally edc my spderco pac salt so this will be a radical change in size. Also I was wondering, can we fondle our other knives and can we purchase other knives but just not carry them or cut with them.

I know I'll be buying others. You're not totally disqualified if you try out a new knife, just don't document yourself using it here, haha.

Alright I'm going to do this. I edc 2 knives. I carry a Kershaw brawler and a spyderco manix 2 xl. However, I am a firefighter and I keep a spyderco assist salt in my truck. From March first on, it will be in my pocket. I'm in.
