EDC One Knife Challenge SIGN UP

I have been carrying a Super Tinker my girlfriend got me when we first started dating, a lot lately. I think it would be a decent challenge for someone used to pocket clip knives to just use that.

I went ahead and slipped it in my pocket when I got home and I have to say, it's not nearly as uncomfortable as I thought it was going to be...

My current choices are between the Kershaw Blur Blackwash cpm S30V - Hikari D2 lockback straight razor style - Enzo cpm S30V friction folder (not a lockback)

Hmmm decisions decisions- now to weed it down too one. Anyone care to help?

My standard carries are spyderco pmII (amazing) benchmade/emerson design cqc7 (yes the 90s version and far better than any emerson ;) the spyderco byrd cara cara 2 (lovely light sexy) the fox karambit grey N 690C stainless (lovely bit) and my lovely Opinel #6-#8's the CRKT m16 (various models) the CRKT hammond cruiser / moraknivs /condors/ kabars/ and more...so the three choices I have are far different than normal.

Attach a lanyard to it and slip the lanyard under a belt. It keeps the knife in one spot and helps drastically.

I usually edc my Ontario Rat 1, so I'm going to edc my ZT 0350. Thanks for the opportunity and fun

I was definitely considering adding a small lanyard to it to reduce fumbling around in my pocket

If you wear jeans, or have pockets that sit almost parallel to the belt, it's gonna be a big difference.

Can I still carry my normal one due to being used to it enough in such a case that self defense is necessary but otherwise use only the stockman I have instead

Sorry about seeing your post late, yes you may carry others. I know I'll have my Matriarch or a fixed with me.

I edited my post on Page 1 with pics. I actually still haven't chosen 100%, but you will see why. I will post here, or wherever the active thread is if I end up getting choice #1 fixed up in time. Fixed blade for a whole month will be a worthy knife challenge for me.

Reserved. I have to see if I can get my fixed blade ready in time. I never carry fixed blades for more than a day or two. They just aren't part of my preferred carry style, but I have been meaning to try out a nicer fixed (almost bought a Bark River-twice), so this is a good challenge to see if I can really handle carrying a fixed blade long term. My two options are both vintage Imperial Bowie style blades with a guard and smaller handle. If I don't get the first one ready in time, I will fall back on one that is ready as-is.

Well, I may not be able to get this neglected $1 Imperial bowie knife ready for action in time for March 1st. Was going to mod to a hidden tang. Already reground all the pitting out, so hopefully I get motivated to get a handle on it in time.

So I will most likely be using this $10 Imperial Bowie knife to see if the first one is worth the effort. If I do get around to finishing the top one before the 1st, I reserve the right to swap since they are both vintage Imperial fixed blades of the same pattern. Hope that doesn't break any rules.

I think the One Knife Court will allow a swap.

Feeling kinda left out... Signed in on page 1, and while updates keep appearing on the sign in sheet, I keep getting left :(

So... I'm in.

Buck Quickfire; should arrive today
-I very rarely carry 420hc anymore these days
-I never edc a locking folder with a blade less then 3".

+(Possibly) an H&K Dispatch as a fixed blade, (if that's OK), since I typically edc both a folder and fixed blade, and I don't own, let alone carry any Tanto blades, so both will be new and out of my comfort zone...

No hard feelings BTW, just bustin' your balls a bit...

Ah man, my bad! I'll make sure to add you with both blades!

Count me in
Will be using a Leatherman e55X in 154CM

My usual edc is a victorinox solo in red plastic scales, love that knife, but time to see how this one handles.

Excellent post, lets enjoy the journey and the pics !!!

Why not the Enzo? Would be cool to see that friction folder take on the world!

Pick whichever knife you think you would never carry. Yes, EDC is sole cutting tool for entire challenge. Pictures or video for proof, and winner is based on whoever does the coolest stuff with the knife

Ok, I'm in. I'm going big instead of home. Gonna carry this old LB7 for the month of March. I'll get 'er gussied up for the challenge, of course. Now I gotta dream up some stuff to do with it to win THE BIG PRIZE!!

That's the spirit! Prize wise, I'm thinking probably the same knife I'll be using will be sent to the winner, not the exact same one, but a brand spanking new one! Although, I have a few other ideas.
