But the one thing I'm worried about with hinderers is the flipping action. I hear the detents usually aren't too strong, so they tend to not flip super well. How does yours flip? Do you need some wrist to get it out?
I'm not sure when your knife was produced... But mine, being a skinner, is obviously a newer knife. Rick listened to the complaints about knives that flipped poorly, and tightened up the detent on his newer knives. As a result, mine flips great. I mean it is a Hinderer - it's not lightning fast. But that super fast opening you get with some knives really doesn't make a difference in performance. Just makes them fun to flip when you're sitting watching TV. Mine opens with enough speed to lock up safely every time.
