Excellent picture, sir! I just re-picked up a Vallotton 'cause I missed that gorgeous knife too much. I'm kicking around some ideas for modding it. We'll see what wins out in the end.

Hey bud, let me know how serious you are. I'm still breaking her in but after that I've got no problem sending this one to ya for a week or two.

Stand up guy right there.:thumbup: Just noticed your post after posting something for you in the Spider Monkey thread haha.

Terrible photo today, but this is what I'm carrying. Spyderco PITS with my trusty me too flashlight and the little Vic.

It's a great knife. Got it at a killer price too. Would love to have polished marble carbon fiber instead of the g10.

Really love this pair free a day I carrying it. Perfect combo really.

Already thinking about getting a second Dunlap. Either that, or I will probably get a Northwoods 2-blade Madison Barlow...hmmmm. Love the Madison Barlow pattern, but I hate carbon blades honestly because I'm terrible at taking care of them.
Decisions, decisions....

Char, I have found that once it starts developing a patina carbon steel requires very little attention. I carry a traditional of some sorts in my back pocket while working outside, and even in the hottest and most humid of GA summer days all I have to do is wipe the blade off with my tshirt everyonce in a while. That will keep the rust at bay. Everyonce in a while some spots will show up, but it scrubs off fairly easily. I also store them in doores. I've left a few in the garage for a week or so on accident and found them quite rusted.
I will admit to once being very skeptical of carbon steels, but now I carry carbon just as much as I do stainless.
Okay, my lecture is over.
(Oh yeah that shiro is stunning!)

I love these pics with a modern tactical and a traditional coexisting in harmony! ;)

Cutting spikes for tiger traps. A couple minutes later I sliced my finger tip in half with the kwaiken. It's all superglued up

I just got this today. I've heard all the stuff about Boker's F&F being hit and miss, but this one has no issues. I got it on sale for a very good deal. It's a bit different than what I'm used to, but so far I like it, and I'm curious to see how this N690B0 steel performs.

Looks good! I' m a sucker for Ansø designs. You are usually always safe if you get one made in Germany or Italy.
