EDC - What did your knife do today???

Used JK Last Resort Knife to cut up some grapes. Had to do some surgery on myself with my Trance the other day.

Opened boxes of inventory today, they tape the damn boxes like they where being shipped to Mars! Thank god for my Spyderco Delica. :D

Had to do some surgery on myself with my Trance the other day.

Did that with a BM Snody to pull a strand of steel wire from my palm. It got stuck after shooting off from a Dremel wheel at 30,000 RPM. After 3 days, I noticed a throbbing pain and saw a small dot. The wire was about a quarter inch long.

Heavy day today. Spent it doing yardwork. and reaching for my knife every few minutes. Had to cut some weeds wrapped around the tines of my tiller, pry loose a cap on my gas can nozzle, cut some string for tie downs for the tarps over my woodpile, pruned some branches that had grown where I did not want them, opened a bag of grass seed, cut a LOT of vines growing up my workshop and a fence.

Cleaning the tiller was especially rough work since it involved cutting though dirt mixed in with the other stuff wrapped abound the axle and running into steel is unavoidable. Not something I would want to do with a good knife, but my cheapo Rough Rider linerlock sodbuster came through the day needing only a light touchup.

That's about as tough a day as my knives are likely to see, and it's just the kind of day sodbusters are meant for. They are work knives, and you can work them hard.

Used my Pocket Bushman to cut a sandwich roll and my Izula to open the box to a car seat for my baby boy. :)

Was carrying my Spyderco Centofante 4 in my pocket today. During the course of the day I used to it:

  • Open two boxes I got in the mail.
  • Cut up an apple.
  • Opened a couple of packages of ingrediants while I was making dinner.
  • Cut off a loose thread on my shirt.

my BK9 begged me to go out and use it to silence the neighbors mutt who barks endlessly. sometimes that knife gets edgy if not used enough LOL...no really i cut up a frozen pork loin with it so it would defrost faster.

Today I used my Benchmade 710 to unnecessarily open my check (it had the dotted lines anyways :o), cut a few tie wraps, trim some loose string on my BDU's, and lastly clean the dirt out of my finger nails at the end of the day :)

Low lighting in this pic, so it came out poorly:
