Love that part. WRONG!

Realistically, with our tech, we would need 1000w to be able to stop a person in their tracks. And the battery would be huge.
Maybe in 10-20 years it would be more efficient as a handheld weapon.
For now, 10-20w is about the limit for handheld/portable, and it'll burn skin at the most. Even a 1w will permanently blind someone though.
