It seems that it wouuld take just one more post to put this topic to having a hundred pages. (thisis fin you are in 20 posts per page view)
So i will push.
EDC:
Home:
Helle Kvernstein
Native comboedge
generic butterfly knife
old Kaufmann knife

Out:
Office:
honed down Opinel 7 (cos it takes less place, in slacks and does not tear a hole cos its honed down and will not snag anything)
another issue is that it can stay in the pocket and not get scuffed by coins as my other stainless steel handled knives will

OTherwise:
SAK from my college wiht its name imprited (Spartan model)
Old Elsner Victorinox
Spyderco SS plain Dragonfly
Calypso Jr Gray
Opinel 8 and 9

CLubs, now this is tricky, its hard to go around without an edge but knowing that i cannot carry a knife into clubs we go for more concealable not for attack but for. cutting.
benchmite II now this knife i hate the levitator lock but it looks fine and is damn slim. the lock is still dumb
CRKT KISS bad cutting, but is slim and doubles as a money clip or whatever clip

YEah i know boring post but hey just another one to add to the pile...

-Chillum, a type of smoking pipe

I spent like 10 minutes today deciding whether to take my Vic Huntsman instead of my Camillus EDC, but I decided against it. Man, being a knife nut is hard...

What in the world do you smoke with that Chillum? It looks like some sort of "bong".

I was wondering that myself, not something you would want the world to know on a public forum?

I saw him post at another forum and at "that" forum he proclaims himself as a Stoner. Not something I would be real proud of.

You sound like you don't even know what a bong is :P

A bong is generally much larger and has physical properties to accomodate the presence of water used to filter smoke. The chillum, obviously, lacks such devices.

It's a straight glass smoking pipe used for the sole purpose of smoking fine cannabis. This is something I am neither proud of nor ashamed of, it is simply something I have chosen to include in my life because I feel overall it is more beneficial to me than harmful. If you would like to debate this...then go make a thread or something, let's not ruin this one.

For the curious, the forum Dirt is referring to is Neowin. I go by Raum on there and have close to 5, 000 posts. So if you have a particular interest in some random teenager from Ohio who has an interest in lower to midrange folding knives, go right ahead. ;)

Wow Vivi, relax bro.

I cannot believe that you don't know that using pot on a regular basis (especially as a teen) will do nothing but ruin your life.

I've had friends killed by people behind the wheel who were high on pot.

Enjoy :)

Yeah, I hear ya. But then again, I'm not like most potheads. I will readily agree with you and everyone else on these forums that the way MANY potheads carry out their habits is horrible. I've considered the consequences and the benefits, and I feel the latter has more weight to it. I could be wrong, but if so then I will suffer the consequences, which is something I have accepted. Much in the way of skateboarding, it has a variety of risks, and to the laymen it's not very intelligent to do something that has caused me the worst injuries in my life, has made me lose teeth, break bones etc. But the layman cannot see the beauty, art, expression, creativity and so forth skating gives those truely dedicated to it.

It's like someone who sees music as entertainment. They may enjoy a song, but they'll never really comprehend all that went into a song and all the composer got out of it. You guys are probably more informed about pot than the examples I'm giving....but I still feel the majority of people, including most potheads, are unaware of many properties it has.

My, I'm getting in the mood for a marijuana thread already.....Shouldn't start though, have work at 6am. :P

Oh, and excuse my defensive nature. It shines bright when this issue comes up.

Cool info!
As for my EDC'S They change sometimes depending on location..conditions..threat level etc. But "usually" it would be as follows...
Right front pocket=CRKT-M16-13Z...Key ring= Photon "white"..P-38...and a Kershaw chive.
Left front pocket= Palm Tungston T in an armored case.
5th pocket= S.O.G Blink
Left rear pocket= wallet containing SWISS LITE CARD
On my belt a Sanyo flip phone in a horizontal holster, and "sometimes" a Kershaw Tactical Blur....Oh! cant forget..left front pocket= also a fisher space pen...Dont leave home without it!

Seems flashlights are popular here. Is this due to how many of you are officers of some sort, or are they carried for other uses primarily?

Hey Joe Dirt!
I feel you man but are you nutz??!! Maybe I am paranoid but I wouldent post anything like that in this day and age! Half the people on this site are law enforcement types..so just be careful who you chat with.

I am NOT an officer of any sort but a light source is crucial really. From finding somthing you dropped in the dark to general survival...Ever flashed a Photon in someones eyes?..Kinda gives you an edge in a last ditch situation.

set,

You even talking about the same thing I am? You been smoking pot or something?

Did you actually read what I posted?

Pocket flashlights DO come in handy when you're out-&-about, at night.
Also, a 2AA Mini-maglite makes an excellent kubaton.
Most of the Surefire (and some other lights) are strong enough to momentarily blind an attacker.

Basically, combination useful flashlight / Self defense tool. :)

Yeah, it can be useful for that, but otherwise, I guess I just have good night vison. :P I do alright without one, though they definately would have their uses.

I've had friends killed by people behind the wheel who were high on pot.

Doesn't mean it happened because they were high. I know I'll just be getting into the brick wall situation here, but really I've only met one person out of the 50+ pot smokers I know who I wouldn't feel comfortable driving me around while they're high. She was a shitty driver when she was sober or when she was stoned, so I think that might of had something to do with it. :)

I myself have been driving around high off my ass multiple times. Maybe not the best idea...but so far I've been pulled over once, and that was for not using my turn signal to change lanes on an empty road at 3am. If that's the worst a cop has seen me do, I'd wager I'm doing alright. Most anti-pot people I've argued about this over the internet are utterly convinced that it is impossible to drive good while you're high. When I tell them my real life experience negates this, they retort with "You only think you're driving good, you're too high to tell." No disrespect to you, but if this is your planned line of arguement, don't bother, because I'll likely not respond. Just trying to explain that while a stoner might of killed your friend - and I'm sorry about your loss regardless of why or how it happened...losing a friend is never an enjoyable experience - that doesn't prove pot makes killers out of those who drive under the influence. Many studies have concluded that the risk of marijuana and driving mixed isn't very high at all, especially when compared to alcohol. Wikipedia and erowid should have plenty of links.

Would I recommend for the average joe to smoke a joint and go drive? No.

Have I witnessed the vast majority of people I know who are comfortable and familiar with marijuana can drive in a completely safe and aware manner when they are stoned? Absolutely.

Have I ever seen someone drive at an acceptable level, who I knew was intoxicated from alcohol? Nope.

Yeah, driving stoned may pose a threat, but I feel that's more for people who aren't used to it and other special circumstances. I don't think stoners are a serious roadside hazard and I have not experienced anything first-hand to negate my beliefs. Other peoples experiences may completely contradict mine, I don't know. What I do know is based on my life and the situations I've been in, I'm comfortable having someone who's stoned drive me home, but not so with someone who is drunk.

I'm off to sleep. Gotta be up at 5 for my wonderful job at kmart. :D

Gotcha Joe...and No I cant anymore...but I really dont see anything wrong with it. I wont get on my soap box but does the Patriot act scare anyone else as much as me?

Hey really...A great light source isalwayssomething to have handy..especially if your out at night alot...In my "big" travel kit I carry a surefire and another 3 LED style light as well as a couple of 12 hour light sticks.
