Various combinations of the following:
-SRNK Howling Rat variant, on the right hip. A great "just in ANY case" EDC.
-Busse Basic 3 variant, on the left hip. Same as above, but a little more sheeple proof.
-Cold Steel Safe Maker for immediate self defense, left inside jacket pocket, or in the back of my pants, left side.
-"Spyderson" Reliant, for cutting small things. Front right jacket pocket, or pants.
-SOG desert dagger (2x) for the more arduous self defense situations, one underneath each shoulder in a custom shoulder rig.
-Boker/Bud Nealy escort tanto, horizontal back carry, a backup SD knife for the weak hand.

Welcome to BF chief8668!! It is good to see another Secamper!! And you are also in MA. A great big welcome to you!! I live on the Cape.

I attached fine grit to my lansky hones as well. Did you use a push stroke or a pulling stroke (almost like a stropping motion). I attached it loosely and used a pulling stroke. I used 320 600 and 800. I also used the fine hone set at 30 degrees between grits to knock the bur off. After seeing your knife I think I will be try the 1500 grit to polish.

i used a lansky extra coarse to det the biggest angel the lansky clamp would allow, them the red coarse, green medium, then blue crappy fine,, when this made it still pretty rough.. "i have a tread in the toolshed whit pics of the progress"

thats just around here i started with the fine grit :) 800, 1000, 1500..
i duct taped a strip tight to the hone.

And i also pulled away from the edge for the final finish :)

just give 1500 paper "or finer" a go ;) its scary sharp now

Sorry for my english :o

My EDC changes often, Currently I carry a GT auto Green anodized aluminum handle, with TIaN coat on the ATS-34 blade. I also carry a Mantis MU-3 neck knife, a Miltner-Adams MA-2/I basic neck knife with custom cross draw belt sheath. Ther are others. There will be more.

^^^You, sir, have three things I've pined for: A prybaby, small tek-lok for the necker, and of course a cord-wrapped handle for the necker.

Here is one I just got from custom knife maker Mike Wilson. It's a traditional Friction Folder..

I have already posted this one on another thread, so I will apologize in advance for that if you have you have seen it, but I think this one may deserve a second glance..

The Swisstool pocket pal alox. I love them, because they are so light I can't feel them in my pocket: ideal. And then I got two Benchmade's for the weekend: the 710 and a 806 special edition, both beuatifully designed by McHenry Williams.
