However, a Fatboy is fat, not tall.

You have one of those in your pocket? :p :D

What kind of pockets do you have?

I'd say very large ones.

 I thought a fatboy was a Harley Davidson? :D

I'll have to update my EDC before long...

Just want you to beware that the red LEDs used in the Victorinox SAKs are not particularly bright - so are only useful for very close quarters work - also some people have problems with seeing under red light (especially with the onset of old-vision:o )
<snip>
Depending on your eye-sight - you may be better off with a white LED Inova Microlight or Photon

There are now SAKs with white LED lights - that may work as EDCs -

Wenger have the small Esquire (2 5/8") size SAK with a white Photon LED light built-in

This is the Wenger page of SAKs with lights all in the smaller "Esquire" size

Have posted a few times earlier in the thread, but as the EDC's keep changing, here goes for today.

Spyder Persian picked up from Mike Sastre at the MBC Janich seminar last weekend in Ohio in RFP.

Spyder Perrin black blade [ limited run ] in a Sastre drawpoint sheath rig on the belt.

SAK hiker in the LFP for the mundane cutting chores.

The drawpoint sheath setup is superb in every way. Mike made me a special rig that included the sheath with belt loop [ adjustable for different belt widths ], an add on plate that let it be worn in the armpit of a vest or suit jacket upside down, and as well, a special "clip" that attaches to the sheath in lieu of the belt loop for when one is wearing sweatpants or similiar clothing without a belt.

I have worn this since last weekend in Ohio at the MBC and it has not been observed at work, on crowded trains, restaurants, etc for over a week. It's an EDC now, and I've graduated to a straight blade that is fast to deploy and won't fold up on you if used harshly.

First straight blade I've been able to conceal day in and day out since the custom Piroek Kwaiken I had made for me 10 years ago, and for 20% of what the Kwaiken cost me.

Congrats on a fine custom sheath setup with the various options for the Perrin Mike!!!!!

Same here. Looks like I do some changing also.........no one surprised about that I reckon! Anyway, I have taken to carrying my large model 2 Obenauf off and on with my large classic sebbie. The one constant though is the Case/Bose dogleg jack I carry. Been in my left pocket since November! :D

Mine too, has changed recently. Since going on short-term disability, I find I very seldom leave the house so I'm down to the following:

Chew Med D/A Cujo
Korth Bali Model 1
Blackwood HD Ninja
Victorinox Swiss Tool X

Right front pocket
Griaffe bone Razel in Leather Sheath
Cherry Chap stick
some change

Left Front pocket
Wildberry Frost Gum
Keys

Left Cargo
1 can of Copenhagen

Right Cargo
Wallet

Belt
Cell Phone
Tanto in Kydex Sheath

Back pockets
empty

Interesting.......
is the Razel a combination of RAZor and chisEL?

Please tell us more -
and what made you want to combine these two (quite different) things?

Yes ,it is ground on both sides, hollow for the razor edge, and flat ground
for the chisel tip.
We designed it to be a hard use EDC knife that enables you to do things
you wouldn't with other knives, like prying or scraping, cutting plastic ties, hose, it also enables you to cut one handed pushing down with the tip. it also has two points, a single edge, and a double edge.
We think of the Razel as the most useful knife you will ever own, and are in the process of finishing up three more larger versions, a tactical, combat, and entry. That we should have ready to debut at the Blade Show.

I think part of this EDC in our pockets thing is that probably most of us do constant re-evaulation......

and I have found this thread very useful in being able to read other people's choices and thoughts on the matter - and I guess others have found that too - that's why there are so many posts and updates.
