EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

I understand the thickness. I had @T.L.E. Sharp reprofile mine to a nice slicer. I wouldn't spone whack any of my knives but have pushed down with reasonable pressure and it holds well. Its just so undeniably smooth, great ergos , and damn good looking. Its kind of like the Para2 and a Hogue ex01 had a beautiful child.

You know how anticipation builds as the knife is closer to being delivered, at that point (due to aluminum scales, similar blade length, weight, similar recesses to actuate the thumb stud.) I was highly hopeful that a button locker thumbstud/flipper Socom Elite would drop fro the skies with the spartan blades logo.
Like yours, the edge was dealt with and mine will slice real well. I had an aftermarket deep carry small sebenza clip that works miraculously well with the Pallas. I’m a big fan of this knife, much easier for me to carry with the deep carry clip. I’ve burgered mine up a bit getting it tweaked the way I want, but I don’t mind the battle scars and have no intention of letting this one get away.

Monster Monday.

Yup, this Vallotton Sub-Hilt is a MONSTER--thick handled, thick-bladed, and weighs in at over 6 oz. I expected it to have some size, but it sure is a chunk. It's got a three-quarter, small-radius hollow grind and doesn't feel like it's at all thin behind the edge either. I haven't put it through any cutting paces yet, but don't expect it'll be great performer in that area. OTOH, it is a Taichung Spydie, so the F&F is impeccable and it has lots of interesting design details--the compound blade grind from concave primary to convex at the tip; thumb studs as open stop pins; polished G10 scales; substantial and drilled out liners and stout lock with a prominent release; and the milling at the bolsters for the interrupted sub-hilt effect. There's lotsa nooks and crannies in this one that all resolve into a very homogenous and uniform-to-the-touch knife. The action is super smooth and wicked hydraulic too.

In many ways this is not at all my sorta knife but I really kinda like it. It deserved a fat bead and a couple fat knots for a tail too.
