EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Took turns with these three: a 1960 Camillus Demo Knife, a Thiers knife with juniper handle and leather sheath, and a Spanish knife (Miguel Nieto) with curly birch handle. Generous gift from @timberweasel.

I've been going through this post page by page.

Forgive me, but is there some unwritten rule that prohibits you from identifying the knives in your photos?

I can usually recognize Spydercos because they are so unremittingly ugly, with the big hole in the blade and the plasticy looking scales, but sometimes I'd like to know exactly what I'm looking at without having to reply to a post asking what I've just looked at. Why (almost) no descriptions?

If you're taking the time to post photo's, do us a favor and tell us what it is.

I know I'm not alone, because I've read post after post asking what the knife is in the prior photo. So, just tell us. Sheesh...

Haha, well you being a new member, Welcome. however this is not the best foot to start off on, telling people how to post their knives and then giving a passive aggressive "Sheesh" at the end.

If you have a question about a knife you are more than welcome to ask, 99.9% of all knives have the maker mark on the top beginning of the blade and or somewhere else on the blade. Google search has helped me a lot and I've learned a lot in the process. Also in the process of asking other members you may get to know some of them and have a personal interaction. I have met some really awesome people here and the community is a really amazing one.

This is a forum of knives and not just a labeling knife blog. If every post we had to label our knives it would get very repetitive and honestly monotonous. So once again welcome, if you want to know a knife ask, and in time you will learn many new knives and makes.

I'm still learning and I have a list of grail knives that keeps growing every day haha. Cheers bud.

LMAO, brother. I trust our new friend, @jheis , can take a little good-natured ribbing as he's managed to stir the pot a bit himself recently at BF's friendliest thread. :D I'm sure there are those here who would even be happy to help him with posting pics of his properly identified knives, as that process is often a head-scratcher to the uninitiated.

For my part, I'm quite in love with my newly acquired Chris Reeve Knives Large Inkosi Insingo (birthdate October 25, 2017), and am having considerable trouble setting it aside.

Sometimes you need some hard Love around here :) I would post the name of every knife Ive shared here but then it wouldn’t leave much for the imagination lol. There’s definitely no rules stating we can’t post names for @jheis nor that we must :D
I think he will fit in fine here when the smoke clears and will be welcomed with open arms.
I love your Inkosi Insingo BTW that is my favorite CRK to date and might just have to pick up another and Thank you for identifying it for me :D

We have the best fried seafood place right here in town and this is their full-size fisherman' platter--whole clams, scallops, shrimp, two nice pieces of haddock, fries, and excellent cole slaw. I'm not much for posting pics of my meals, but I'm back here so soon just to let y'all know I survived eating the whole thing myself. :p

I love a good fish fry, I miss the northeast sometimes

Congrats Brother and welcome to the world of traditionals ! You’ve made a great choice my friend and I know I have a habit of saying “it’s my favorite” lol but the 62 definitely falls into that category :D
I know it was your first and I would bet the ranch it won’t be your last :p

Thanks brother! I tried my hand at a few Case ones a couple years ago, but they never clicked. Personally, the quality on the 62 is really impressive, then again, I only have my vague memories of those Case ones (I think one of them was the Toothpick?). I mostly live vicariously through everyone else’s traditional pics on here :D;) Also, I can’t take credit for picking out the 62 as it was a generous and surprisingly unexpected gift. I‘m already anticipating the temptations of other traditional offerings lol. Hope you’re enjoying your weekend!
