EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

This is just an awesome thread. It makes me want to buy Medfords. I'm really happy to hear your gamble on a new one paid off, TheFactor TheFactor !

I got an oldie, but a goodie all cleaned up and running a little smoother today. I like it more than I expected. I can see why it's so popular. Bad pictures, but awesome knife:

Opinel No. 5.
Nice combo !!
Man I bet those rounds expand nicely and I picture them looking like a fan with razor blades spinning after impact
Are those 38 specials or 357’s ?
Please don’t tell me those are 44’s going threw that 2 1/2 inch barrel
My Buddy had one years ago and he ended up with sight marks on his forehead lol. The guy is built like a tank but it caught him off guard when he first got it :D

Thanks ! Ergos are all great, except I have to get used to the missing choil on this one (my other 4" Spydercos all have one). Great blade to handle ratio, handle is like a quarter inch shorter than the Military. Weight is ~150g, similar to - say - a 3.5 XM18 - not bad at all and feels sturdy. Incredible tip and thin/hollow grind ... First time I enjoy Michael's design, the jimbo always seemed on the small side.
Glad to hear !!!

Look at the barrel, it's .38 +p. I believe those are Lehigh/Underwood bullets, can't remember the name.

Decided at the last minute to carry this instead of the Deacon.

Pictures can be deceiving sometimes making things look larger or smaller depending on the lense and angle . Haven’t seen a 44 round or revolver in years either and that’s my story and I’m sticking to it :p
I believe the 38 and 357 have the same case btw it’s just the load that are different the 357 is hotter and shoots a foot of purple and blue flames out the barrel to lol.
I’m more of a semi auto guy although love them all . Thanks for the reply and nice carry.

Pictures can be deceiving, but S&W’s rollmarks wont lie. A .357 casing is longer than a .38 (same diameter). You can run .38 in a .357, but not vice versa. Have a great weekend!

Day 10 of my one month carry off the Kershaw Atmos. Also carbon fiber flipper Friday.

My thoughts so far:
It is plenty of blade for pretty much all daily tasks . The flipping is still quite fun. There are off course some things that could be improved on this model but for ~$20 how du can you really say? The edge holding is adequate enough and it touches up very easily.

Doing this self imposed challenge has made me want to do more to better appreciate the knives I already have. So next month I'll be carrying my GEC #93 or Case mini copperlock. Not sure which yet.

Thanks for the update and have a great week end to and don’t count to many roll marks :D
Yes it’s nice to have options when I carried a 357 back in the 80’s I ran 38 +ps if I remember correctly. It was my duty weapon.
S&W model 686 stainless 4” barrel if my memory serves me correct but if not I’m sure someone will chime in :)
