Starting out the day with the slim and slicey little Chaparral.

In my head, even after reading and rereading the specs, this knife was similar to a Bugout or Delica. In reality it's much closer to a SAK or my Engine.

Not raining today (yet), but I still brought along a Canoe for Finally Friday! Today's is a Case 62131 from 1977 with the Canoeist etch. This one has a single spring, I also have one from the 80's that is double springed.

Today I will be mostly filling a pocket with a Tuyaknife Envy 2. I like this.

The backspacer is from Jekyll to Hyde and they usually sellout instantly but actually have stock now so Google them and try to get one quick unless you want just the lanyard.

The bead is matching natural micarta from zandcmetalworks on the bay. Search this on their store - Rough Texture Natural Micarta Lanyard and a Free Paracord Lanyard.

The paracord is coyote brown from Amazon. It's from the paracord planet store.

After two days back up in PTown finishing the last part of that job that I had to wait to complete, I can get back to retired mode with a day at home, some rehab time in our little gym, a bit of relaxation, and the chance to bill out both the recent and trailing hours from that project.

I picked out a knife a really like and don't carry nearly enough--my KSF Exclusive 908BK-1501 Stryker. I've got this phobia about marking up coated blades and have sold off a few I was fond of but just never carried. I was actually quite pleased when a got a couple pretty good scratches on this one and found the CerraKote so tough as to not expose the CPM-M4 steel beneath. One of the things Benchmade does best is carbon fiber and the scales on this knife are just superb.
