Took an early morning walk at a nearby trail.

The camera on my phone is terrible in low light, but I managed to get a pic of one of the two owls that were within 100 feet of me. Several times, they flew down to the ground and back up to the trees. You can see it's eyes glowing from the flash of my camera.

Southern Grind Spider Monkey Copper Damascus. These pictures were in very bright sunlight - it isn't as pinky looking in person.

Patina just starting to develop. A quirky little knife - very heavy handle vs blade. Odd/light opening action - took some really fine tuning to make it open easily while maintaining blade centering. Feels great in the hand and very sharp.

Thanks! Look down in the archives section of the forum under K9 knives. These were a collaboration between Dan Koster and Tom Krein. I got in on this when I was a member here in the 2007/2008 time range. 3V steel with a Bos heat treat. Koster and Krein split up the finish work. Mine was finished by Krein. Koster numbered his on the spine.
