Fresh out of the mailbox!

That's a custom AD20, Ti both sides with Shark Lock? New or new to you? That's not like what I'm usually drawn to but impressive nonetheless. It looks like one hefty beast and must outweigh the G10 models which I read are 6+ oz. I'd be interested in your thoughts on that one both initially and going forward.

This one is the MG or machine ground blade in 3v, the G10 is 6.1oz, Ti is 7.4oz, both sides are Ti. Definitely a beast of a knife, of my two examples the Ti version is a good bit smoother then the G10, and the spring tension on the lock is noticeably less (good thing IMO). I also greatly prefer the lack of the blade cut out. Haven't used much at all yet but initial impressions I really like it! Feels good in the hand, balance is pretty good, would probably prefer a little more height on the grind but it is not bad. As for Ti or G10, without hesitation Titanium for me!

This is what it looked across the street from my house from age 12 to 22. I came back home after living 7 hours away to find it razed and and 12-15,000 SQ ft homes built. I found out a few weeks ago that they didn't raze the whole 8+ acres. Preserved more than half. The market dried up and no more homes were built. Maybe 30 homes total. The rest of it, as you can see from the picture, is now a preserve with a crushed gravel trail about 3/4 mile. Right across the street. Makes me very. Lots of memories running through here on old rutted trails from dirt bikes and ATVs.

Hiked up to a defunct fire lookout tower up about 5,600ft in the mountains today. Amazing 360 views. Honestly, I typically prefer hiking up to mountain lakes and waterfalls rather than peaks and lookouts, but this one had a special significance. My son and I tried this one a year or two ago and had to cut our trip short due to him having problems breathing (asthma), so it was always a sticking point that we needed to go back and conquer it. Today we did. It was tough but not too bad. It occurred to me that he was about half a foot shorter than me when we tried the first time and about a quarter foot taller than me now ;)

Catching up late on this one. Those are some stellar pics right there. Not going to lie, a little jealousy over here on some of the places/views you can hike to. Don’t get me wrong, I have my fair share of great outdoors up here but, those mountain horizon views are something else. Congrats to you guys for making it this time.

P.S. almost forgot, cool knives too but, you know, the views and all that stuff.
