I don’t mind the thumb and middle finger opening, but disengaging that lock bar deforms my thumb every time.

Im not sure if a spa day would help that.

Have you tried the claw grip? Meaning to disengage it with your index finger. I read this is the best method for the slim midi. Btw, beautiful scale on yours! Is the clip side the same finish?

I have tried the claw grip, but it’s not easy and still requires 2 hands for me.

The clip side is the same as the show side.

This one (again) but tucked in the high socks (I was lucky to find one pair of high socks left over from my skying years...). It is quite comfortable and handy, I must say. The bending down I don't like but it's at hands reach, more or less.

I'm making this an M4 Monday with my KSF exclusive 908BK-1501 AXIS Stryker II. This is a terrific mid-sized knife that I should really carry more. I've always had an aversion to beat-up coated blades and have sold off a number of knives I really liked rather than marking them up. After putting a couple deep scratches and scuffs in this blade's Cerakote finish and seeing that those didn't even penetrate to bare steel I've become more liberal in its use as full-sized Strykers are great in hand and BMK's gorgeous CF scales make this one exceptionally good in pocket.

We decided to return to a live tree for this Christmas, as we want to add to the plantings along our East line with the old woodpile there gone. It'll stay out on the deck except for a few days around the holiday as it's not good for it to spend much time indoors. I shot this clip side pic of the Stryker after getting back to the house and finding those originally shot on the scraggly sapling were out of focus.
