What's that on the blade? Did you arc it? I killed a new pair of klim strippers once like that.
And yet this is still an awesome knife!lzeplin Yep that’s exactly what happened. I happened to do something a little more severe today

Was under a crawl space digging out some spray foam on a band board trying to find my hole for my conduit. I heard it snap. I really don’t know how it happened. Only thing I can figure is I wedged the tip in the band board and the side of the blade on the floor joist and twisted. I’m gonna have it ground and sharpened on that front edge like a chisel. That blade has been thru way too much to just let it get thrown away. I used it all afternoon. Worked just fine.

I still love it. Used it all afternoon without a hitch. Just a new beginning with it hahaAnd yet this is still an awesome knife!
It stung a little bit. I do have a 21 tanto replacement blade from years ago. I have every intention of using this one how it is until I get it fixed. That sucks, but great that you’ll continue to use it!![]()
Yea if it was an Inkosi it probably wouldn’t have happened. Idk tho.Oh no! I've thought about that with CRK's the blade is so thin. I carried a old kershaw random task for years. I've pried osb sheeting into place cut shingles, beat on it with a hammer and really abused that knife over the years. I never did break it. When I carry my CRK's too work I usually have a backup beater knife with me.. I think grinding it like a graham razel would be super cool and useful.

I have tried the claw grip, but it’s not easy and still requires 2 hands for me.
The clip side is the same as the show side.

Every time you post that top fixed blade, it piques my curiosity - who makes it, if you don't mind me asking? Looks like it is dressed up in Stag Bone.
Happy Monday, folks. I'm continuing on with my Beer Advent Calendar with a couple of nice blades too.

Yea it broke right at that spot. I’ve still got the tip, I’ll put it up and keep it. That was the only thing that bothered me was losing the arc spot on that blade. If you look at a Klein stripping knife the blade shape isn’t any different.Yikes! What a bummer. Did u find the tip and save it? I wonder if the arc wrecked the temper and it got brittle. Did it break right at that weld spot?
Im with you on the regrind and continue using, sucks you lost that little reminder with the arc spot though....

Yea that’s the plan. It’ll be just as useful I think. Silver lining being now I get another blade shape to add to the rotationThat's a pretty square break! You can even convert that to a Graham Razel-esque Sebbie. A Sebbie that sports a chisel tip!
Something like that
