The entire last business week, I was in Poland with only these two SAKs: a bladeless Wenger Esquire for air travel and my trusty CyberTool 34 in my checked bag.

I cut several zip ties with the tip of the small blade, which of course rolled that soft edge right on over. Used the large screwdriver a few times and also the CyberTool a couple times.

While I was out of town, I left the Tuff Lite halfway open for the week to loosen the lock spring a bit; it worked! It's the perfect tension now! So tomorrow, it's going to be the Tuff Lite and the custom-stamped Explorer Plus on a homemade pocket hanger:

( for those not in the know, a pocket hanger of the correct length makes a thick Swiss army knife a lot more comfortable to carry in the pocket, since it stays vertical in the back of the pocket, instead of going horizontal in the bottom, with the pocket lint.)

You’re not missing or failing to understand anything. We all know we don’t strictly need $300 folders. We simply enjoy them.

Most people have things they enjoy throwing money at. Clothes, cars, shoes, electronics, whatever. Personally, I don’t spend much money on anything else. I’m actually very hesitant to spend money on anything for me other than knives. I prefer to see my lady and my kids with nice things. I’m happy driving a 2008 Mazda 3, wearing plain jeans and a T-shirt, etc, but having a damn good knife in my pocket.

So... Massdrop x Laconico Keen, with cameos by Wenger Esquire and Fisher Space Pen Bullet (he’s shy, trying to hide under a charging cable).

Yes i understand, but i mean that if you pay more money for more quality (no matter car ,clothes or knife) i find it ok , but in many aspects of our life companies ask extra money just for name of their products. For example im sure that 300$ shoos gonna be better quality than 20$ shoos , but i do not think there is big difference in quality between 300$ shoos and 5000$ shoos , you just pay 4700$ for the sake of name , just because its made for rich people and poor people can not afford it, but you can and you show it.

On otherhand with knifes its little bit other story , shoos are things you wear out, but knife can be with you years and for some people it can be worth to pay 500$ just because this knife is made by his favorite knife maker.
