It’s the springs you gotta worry about. Someone had a similar experience and it was the spring that rusted.Usually I go for a stainless knife like one of my CRKs or an S110V Spydie while fishing, but just felt like carrying the 15V Manix yesterday. Bought it to be a user so no big deal. Cleaned and oiled it up when I got home and I can't see any signs of rust anywhere, though I haven't taken it apart.
Right there with you my friend. Went to visit the folks north of the Bury. Definitely no mossy rocks for knife pics up here, but no shortage of snow, ice and general winter apocalypse covered rocks. So much snow… oh well, it’s way more fun going for Tim’s on a sled than in a car anyway.
Hope you get your power back soon.

Sick light. Sick photo. You are my favorite light enabler Mr. Keyopp.![]()
and you my favorite knife and sheath enabler Mr. Fiery.![]()
… we better be careful, if this keeps up we might find ourselves staring at each other across the room at an edc intervention.
Guess I'll cross that bridge if/when it comes. Can't live in continual fear that my knife is gonna get ruined. It'll turn back into dust someday, just like me.It’s the springs you gotta worry about. Someone had a similar experience and it was the spring that rusted.

No curve, it's pretty much impossible to cut yourself flippingHow’s the learning curve on the Jani-song?
That does look good
Hope you get power back soon! I am assuming that you are warm and comfortable since you are still online here, but I know any length without power can be inconvenient. I would be interested to hear what your backup power/heat preps are if you care to share?Got another 8” of snow last night. Power is out again.Got a restoration time of 5:00pm tonight. Hopefully they stick to that. The air is heavy and it’s only -1° currently and they are calling for 20-35mm of rain over the next few days. That, coupled with the 2 ft of snow we have, is gonna be a bad brew. Gonna go ahead and say that trees will break and a possible long stretch of no power may be coming.
Welcome to the North!!
I did do shipping prep for some sheaths that I will be making.
And pocket carrying these two today…the @David Mary Wharnificent fixed blade has become one of my favorite blades. Really well done and has me super excited for his “Rangs” to come out.
For your viewing pleasure…
