Carved the first tobacco pipe I’ve ever made, works well enough. Good first start. Looking forward to getting better at pipe making.

This one’s in Black Cherry wood.

Hit me up if you branch into briar. I like the wood/rustic stem but I prefer the burn-resistance of briar for the bowl. It seems that all the good pipes today have these hard phenolic stems and they're rough on the teeth, a wooden stemmed pipe sounds like something I'd like. If it draws freely and burn-resistant wood, it's a good pipe (I'm not a pipe snob).
