I totally understand and very sorry for your loss also. I haven’t been able to get another dog since my Dobie passed it was to hard. So my girlfriend at the time got tired of me moping around and told me to get a cat lol so I did and have had them ever since . Little did I know there is a bond with them also except they pick you and you have to earn their acceptance lol. My Doberman I use to let sleep in the bed and at the time it was an old school rock and roll waterbed . My X said does he have to sleep in the bed with us I said yes he was here before you and probably will be after you lol and he was . He would brace his back against me and try to push her off the bed 🤣 What’s even funnier is sometimes I would brace myself and help him as he pushed 😆

Hahaha that’s great. Dobermans are special, special dogs. They don’t call them velcro dogs for nothing! Cats are indeed very cool. Both my Doberman and my current dog chose me. They both approached my as puppies and didn’t wanna leave my side. I love dogs and will always have at least one dog but idk if I can ever have a Doberman again. Maybe in the distant future. My current dog, Iris, who’s a purebred Amstaff definitely chose me. I was on a waiting list for a Rhodesian Ridgeback when my buddy called me and said, “hey, I found a reputable breeder for Amstaffs and I want to check out the puppies, roll with me.” Well, I did, and I met my dog and couldn’t shake her out of my head for the 2/3 days afterwards and I decided I’ll take her. Best decision ever. She’s such a great dog. Pets are awesome man, I feel bad for kids whose parents don’t like them. Feel bad for the parents too. They have no idea what kind of joy they’re missing. But better for someone to not have a pet than to bring one home and not care for them as they should

I needed a work knife again today as we set about splitting the wood we pared off the 60 foot oak we're working on taking down. I grabbed my Turtle as I haven't carried it for a while and planned to to load up on F's accordingly, but I don't think I can match the sheer volume of K.O.D.'s descriptor without going off the deep end. Of course I'll do what I can just to peeve our other friend bigolegator after seeing his post on this F95 Faceted Foreign Framelock Flipper Friday.

I get it man, hurts like hell. I took a little bit of a break between my 2nd and 3rd. Finally the wife said “You need a dog. Shut up, you’re getting a dog.” I think she was getting tired of me 😂
 
This weeks haul starting with the big one - a Shirogorov R1P in Chromax PM steel and Ti framelock that arrived Monday, but I've been keeping it a secret. (edit to fix autocorrect)

Here are my new Benchmade Proper in S90V steel and carbon fiber scales, a CJRB Rio that I bought with the Ekko as a gift, and a Gerber Armbar Slim Cut linerlock (small multi-tool).

EDIT - THIS POST WAS SUPPOSED TO BE IN NEW KNIVES THREAD. I only carried the Shiro R1P and Ekko that day.

Losing a pet is always tough. So true about cats. They pick you. Too funny about helping him push.

So true about kids not having pets. They miss the happiness. Worse is the parents not seeing the joy. People that do not care for their pets should not have the privilege of having a pet
