Took my CRKT for a ride today literally down some of my favorite back road twisties so I wanted to take a no worries small blade and it fit the bill .

Beautiful bike! Still got some more tire to lean in there ;)

For some reason I usually reach for a 0452 or 0801 when I ride.

The new Kimuras are made by Bear and Son if I'm not mistaken. Reviews have been mixed. Especially in the F&F department. You might be better off just saving for the morpho.

Bradleys website states Kershaw as the maker however i was just looking at a Bradley Kimura fs and sure enough on the side of the box is "manufactured by Bear OPS". I noticed they have went up in price about $30 since last year and i don't care for the lack of a pocket clip although thats not a dealbreaker. It's unfortunate there is nothing really in between a bear and son product and a Benchmade in the balisong market. maybe some company will recognize the hole in the market and address it. I doubt id ever pop for a morpho 51 so For now it looks like the kimura is the only mid range option. I have watched some reviews and there's definitely mixed opinions but i might take a chance if I can find a good deal.

Thanks ! :)
Yes there’s a little more tire left if you’d like to drag a little ear and elbow lol.
I chose a taller tire with a little less width to acquire more lean angle with which in turn gives more tire on the road when you want to drag a knee ;)
When I run on the street I only run about 70% . I’ll take another pic for you after a track day ;) which should be sometime in June .
But man this CBR 1000 rr is a different animal after getting it dyno tuned . So much smooth power across the board .
I’ve had many bikes over the years and this is my favorite with my gixer 1000 a close second . Here’s a couple shots of my k6 CBr 1000rr and my Gixer k7 1000 at a couple of track days for your entertainment:)
What ya riding ?

I've been absent from this thread for a few days as I've been quite busy, though my pursuits were decidedly more pedestrian than our friend TheFactor TheFactor --still more medical appts and spending a lot of time in the shop working on tool set-up and stuff for myself. I did go back and look at all your pics, though, guys.

I got a bunch done on the roll-away chop saw stand...

...and put together a maple pencil tray with drop-in tool stops for my drafting table as I'm changing that around and about to knock out the drawings for my buddy's garage and shop.

In the meantime, I carried my 0909 one day, though it's really not useful for carpentry and shop work...

...so I switched to my most-carried, well-worn work user. It's more than a little gummed up now and definitely needs a cleaning and touch up.

That's great! I just put some Meltzer M7's on my R1 for the upcoming season. Priorities change and it doesn't see a lot of action nowadays :( I certainly don't use the shoulder of the tire like I used to.

That’s a very good tire and R1’s are sexy as heck !! Had a red and white one I ordered blue and they called me and said come down and take a look at this red one we got . Sure enough I went down there and bought it lol and then 2 months later swapped out the red plastic for blue
Think it was back in 2001 it was the second model year it was out I believe . Loved that bike . Like you I’ve also toned it down a bit over the Years and not as aggressive on the street or track as I use to be and I think it’s called wisdom ? :)
I’ve learned to really enjoy them in all areas not just being as fast as you can throwing all caution to the wind .
I’ve been down twice over the years and that’s plenty enough for me knock on wood
I’m running Dunlop Q4’s and I really like them it’s a great track street tire . No tire warmers needed since after about lap there race ready and perform above my level but feel they give me more room for error and a lot of confidence.
