EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

The Eldris is making it to work with me often these days. Handy little dude in the woods or the city. Small enough to drop in your pocket. Useful enough to make you glad you did.

I have taken mine apart 4 times now. I can do it blindfolded now and figure if I can de-assist, then re-assist (twice), then I can tear down any axis lock knife.:D

It does make a very good manual folder, but I'm OCD and the knife felt "off" when It was de-assisted, I had to put the spring and safety lock back on. I just had to.:(
I did the same thing with my 585-2. Now it is smooth like butter.

The barrage was my first brand new axis lock Benchmade i ever bought and second BM. i was actually about to trade or sell it though bc i never carry it. I always felt like why have an axis lock when i couldnt enjoy its benefits being assisted so deassisting has enabled me to keep and use the knife instead. One great thing about the knife hobby is everyone has different tastes so if you like the barrage as it came from the factory to each their own. Nothing wrong with that and as you mentioned it can easily be converted back and forth :D

Today it's my second Spyderco I purchased (lost the first in a move), a green Endura 4 in ZDP-189. I think I'll have to take the strop to it, but retention is such that I don't have to do heavy edge work to get it back to really sharp.
