Bark River Ultra-Lite Bushcrafter. I ground out the original grind with stones as an experiment. It’s a bit thinner now though probably not by much, and the scandivex is now more or less a full convex grind. Not perfect but I kinda like it.What’s the fixed blade?
My maxamet pm2 broke in half after having it less then a week and treating it like a queen I was laying in bed and it wasn't clip on me like I thought just in my lap and it dropped 3.5 feet on the softest floor in the house , it snapped the top inch of the knife in half . I had to reprofile the back so it looks more like a delica hopefully it's got a stronger tip now also but idk how people can say maxamet is tough, unless I just got one shitty sample.I did the unthinkable yesterday: I used my prized Endura in 20CV like an average, non-knife-nut person. Which is to say I used it like a fool and paid the price.

I needed to add some weep holes to a tin pot I was using to re-plant my Thai chilies. All I had on me was my Endura, so I stabbed the pot, heard a light crinkling sound, and discovered chips out of the edge. I'm a little surprised at how chippy the steel was, i expected a little rolling, however the damage was 100% my fault. So, until I have time to sharpen out the chips, I chose to carry a different Spyder with a steel renowned for its toughness.

Edit to add: I definitely applied some lateral pressure when I wiggled the blade out of the tin, which is probably responsible for most of the damage. Again, 100% my fault.
That's a bummer. Was this a recent occurrence? I remember hearing about brittleness problems with the first run of Maxamet PM2s years ago. I seem to hear positive things about more recent runs.My maxamet pm2 broke in half after having it less then a week and treating it like a queen I was laying in bed and it wasn't clip on me like I thought just in my lap and it dropped 3.5 feet on the softest floor in the house , it snapped the top inch of the knife in half .
