EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

With few exceptions, almost every photo shows a knife that's never used, just a little pocket wear. I'm guessing this is a collector thing? Granted, my own EDC knives are not beat and save for my little SAK, are used infrequently but this thread is like an instagram showcase! ;)

I think use can look different for everyone. That mixed with, many of us have way too many knives and switch things up all the time haha. I also know for myself, sitting behind a desk the hardest my knives get used is opening mail and other knives/ amazon packages haha

That's sort of my guess for most guys. Certainly where I sit with my own EDC knives. I don't tend to rotate around much having a preferred SAK (74mm Executive) and one of three pocket clip knives (Bugout 535BK-2, Mini-Grip, and Mini-Presidio 2). I carry the Bugout almost every day when just going to town. Have had it three-four years and it looks new. The Mini-Grip actually has some blade wear but I carried it much longer and while hiking as well.

The controversy! #useyourshit

Only speaking for myself here but my EDC rotation has gotten straight-up silly. I sold off some guns at the beginning of the pandemic and that also set me up to try pretty much whatever I wanted in the realm of affordable pocket cutlery. Things come and go, and I also have a chance to tinker with a lot of stuff. The end result though is that always having at least one knife in my pocket doesn't mean any of those knives get a lot of time in my pocket. Effectively, my more favorite knives are competing for one day a week in pocket.

That plus being a more casual or non-extreme user with "office hands" means my sharpening skills are the only things getting rusty around here. 😜

Anyway, it's Spyderco Saturday and this modified Sage 5 has a tiny bit of use on it...

Great shot. Apologies if this has been asked and answered, I’m way behind and trying to get caught up in this thread….but what’s the knife on the right? Thanks!
That's a Manly City.
Bulgarian made, S90V, back-lock, incredibly slicy and ridiculously cheap for what you get. They're a little under the radar but I highly recommend trying one out. Not really a fidget knife but after a little break in they can be flicked open with the thumbstud and some wrist. Probabaly the sharpest OTB knife I've purchased.
