EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Titanium Tuesday : Spyderco ATR from 2003 😊

Mornin guys. Had to carry the Umnum again yesterday. I played with it quite a bit throughout the day, although by the end of day the action was nasty again. Seems like some small grit worked it's way into the detent path on the blade and on the ceramic ball detent. When I got home I slid a slim piece of cardboard under the scale a couple times to try to clear the detent path the best I could without taking it apart, then took a q-tip to the ceramic ball interface. Then, after it felt clean, put the equivalent of about a quarter of a drop of Hoppes #9 oil on the detent side of the ceramic ball, and now she's smooth again! Unlocking this thing used to hurt my thumb after not many cycles at all, it has since got to where I can play with it here and there throughout the day and it's not making my thumb sore.

Hope it's a good day for ya'll!

No you don't see it often. Crows and owls are also mortal enemies as well. If you notice, crows are like wolves and coyotes. They rarely attack alone. Always multiples. Alone, the hawk would easily win. With more than one to watch for, might not be the same outcome.
He was actually tossed out in our front yard. A neighbor saw her toss him and caught her. He proceeded to chew/cuss her out and made her retrieve him. When she turned the corner where he could not see her, she tossed him again. He is a good boy.
Jeez, what a piece of work that woman was. My second dog we had throughout my childhood was a similar deal. Except we lived pretty far out in the country and my mom n dad went to the top of the mountain (out in the deep boonies) for a hike. They found a wild looking young black dog up there way far away from anyone's house. My mom wanted to keep him, but my dad didn't. The dog cautiously followed behind them along their hike until they got back to my dad's truck. My dad ended up saying "Fine, if he jumps into the back of the truck, we'll keep him". And he hopped right in the back of that mofo haha.

Turned out that he was part Wolf, part Malamute, and a touch of Chow. He had been out there by himself hunting small game and eating berries. He was the best hunter I've ever seen. He's also the only dog that I've seen who would pick berries one by one using his front teeth. He knew which berries to eat and which one's to avoid. He was a wild beast, and very independent, but turned out to be one hell of a dog after settling into home life for a bit. He never wanted anything to do with being inside though. We bungy corded the garage door shut and he'd open it with his snout when he wanted to go in. We'd find him outside laying on the ground covered with a light sheet of snow some mornings though, he just didn't care haha.

Yeah I haven't seen any owl on crow action yet, but I'll probably see it now that I'm aware of it. Take it easy my friend!

Neat puppy story, LC.

We have crow on eagle and crow on osprey action here .... these guys are fearless !

Which do you prefer?
I like the look of today's carry more. I like the blade design/style.
I am sure each will excel at certain tasks while the other lags just a little.
Have a great day my friend

Hard to say .... I like the glass breaker on the Axe Hammer. But I have carried the UF more, it's lighter and very nimble, and the big choil on the Axe Hammer is a bit distracting ....

You too !
