EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Both my parents were from outside Scranton PA and moved to California in 59, when my dad got out of the army! San Bernardino first before coming to north county San Diego in 66. Love it here, but the high cost of living is a huge burden for a lot of folks. I try not to travel north or south because of the rat race …unless visiting family or traveling in RV!
Nice area your in. Im in Sierra Madre. Great town. Most of my work is Beverly hills, Brentwood, Malibu, Hollywood Hills. Etc. The Drive can be brutal but I can charge premium rates. I do work locally when I'm able to. Im looking at but land in Montana and building a custom home for our needs. Bow hunting out my back door. I've hunted the Cleveland National Forest a few times down by you. Catching the rut coming out of the Anza Borrego. I stay at Fry creek campground.

I posted yesterday for Sunday then kept my large inlayed Insingo Seb 21 out again for Micarta Monday, though most of my knife usage yesterday went to my Al Mar Talon desk knives, one of which is polished linen Micarta.

This morning I got out my natural CruCarta Manix, just to see how my break-in regimen has been working. It was exceptionally resistant to closing when new, even for a Manix, and I've been storing it since I got it open at 90° to compress the spring. I'd had little improvement over the last few weeks and was beginning to suspect that compression might be ineffective, but was pleased to finally find this morning that it had become consistently operable, so into the pocket it went as I headed off to shoulder PT. :)

The smiley's for the knife, not necessarily for PT, which is not pleasant, but I am actually starting to see some progress now two weeks in. Hopefully it will prove as effective at loosening up my shoulders as my efforts with my knife have for its ball lock.

So I’ve been checking out Arno Bernard Knives recently, and kind of late to his game. More recently got the Imamba and am way in like with the knife. Checks all the boxes for EDC in the rotation.
Now I just received his Orca model. Outstanding knife as well. Just incredible craftsmanship. My bratty knife privileges may have to move to his slip joint Rinkhals(thanks to https://www.bladeforums.com/members/limpcroissant.584615/#:~:text=Report-,LimpCroissant,-Platinum MemberView attachment 3159446

Sierra Madre is awesome! California is amazing with the coast, deserts, mountains, and volcanic areas! We’ve been exploring back country California for 35 years and still haven’t seen it all. If it wasn’t for the granddaughters we’d be gone by now. Looked at Colorado, Idaho, Montana, and East Oregon. We’ll probably stay now and just keep traveling in the RV for foreseeable future.

Cleveland National Forest is beautiful! We ride slab single track at Lark Canyon OHV and love how remote the area is.

Evening dog. :)
