Elk 112 came today let me know what you think

Here's an example of a Blem. The box is also marked as such.

That is really cool. I have never seen a FB marked Buck before. You learn something new everyday.

BTW very nice looking 503??? 505???

It's a 505. I tell everyone that the "FB" means "Favorite Buck". :p The thing is, I can't find anything at all that would make it a blem.

They may not have "seconds", but they do have, and do sell, "blems" or "blemishes" and the blades are stamped with a "B" to denote same.
I stand corrected. I would consider "blems" a second. I sure do learn a lot on this forum.

By the way, the Elk 112 is now off the web special page, I guess they sold out. For me it was a good deal, a very nice knife.

Edit: I see the buffalo 500 is gone from the web specials too.

Plumber, From what I can see there is not a FB any where. I wonder why they marked it as such, but either way it rocks :D.

I'm not surprised they are gone. When I talked to Susan last week , she told me she went through them to hand pick one and there was only like 20 left..

Then again, they were removed before to change the listing and remove the NS, so maybe they are editing it to warn those of us that are picky :D

I remember reading somewhere that Buck does not have seconds. Any knife that does not meet their standards they sell or donate the knives and they are use in third world countries. I have never seen a Buck second, so there may be something to that.

I'd have to get someone from Buck to point out any flaw in it, because to my untrained eye, there doesn't seem to be any. Other than the FB on the blade that is.

So how the heck do I get a double post 5 hours and 46 minutes from one another???

Got my two other Elk 112s yesterday. Only issue is a off cenetered nail nick on one.

Well I got a call yesterday from Susan who was very nice. She informed me that she just got my package :( (containing the two 112's) after two weeks. She said there were no more with the stag to exchange my two with. I am a little bummbed, but I guess it wasn't ment to be.

Any way if anyone is still wanting one or two, they should have the two I sent back???

John
