I stand corrected. I would consider "blems" a second. I sure do learn a lot on this forum.They may not have "seconds", but they do have, and do sell, "blems" or "blemishes" and the blades are stamped with a "B" to denote same.

By the way, the Elk 112 is now off the web special page, I guess they sold out. For me it was a good deal, a very nice knife.
Edit: I see the buffalo 500 is gone from the web specials too.
I remember reading somewhere that Buck does not have seconds. Any knife that does not meet their standards they sell or donate the knives and they are use in third world countries. I have never seen a Buck second, so there may be something to that.
