Charlie is your Progress Jack 3 1/4" ? if so i think it might be #2012 as listed in my 1920 Alfred Field & Co. catalogue re-print. no scanner so can't show it here.

It's close - 3 3/16". Might be that pattern. I'm not sure how significant 1/16" of an inch is, in this case.

I'm trying not to spend money, with the big Oregon show coming up, but this knife reached out of my computer, and grabbed me by the lapels!!

Here's my one elusive Schrade/Walden picked up for a song on Ebay, and it's a dandy. 2 7/8" pen knife with tip bolsters and that signature peachseed bone. I STOLE IT!

The scale of the jigging matches the size of the knife. Near perfect really!

Can anyone tell me when this Bone Serpentine Schrade was made?
It looks for all the world like the model knife for the Delrin knives in the Schrade Walden period. I can't remember seeing this bone on a Schrade before, but I can't remember a LOT of things.
I am sure this knife is all original. There are no signs of it being apart or monkeyed with. Real purty in person; much nicer than the Ebay photos!
Deep solid patina, and nice snap; as you read this, it may be meeting my EZE-Lap hone, to welcome it home!

That is a hard one to figure. Like you say Charlie, it has the look of a Delrin era trapper. The only jigged bone 293's I've seen are peachseed, and have the half sabre clip blade. Some have the fancy bolster, and often the bollocks shield (pictured like this well into the late 60's in catalogs).

No. I had it on my watch list , but got a little sidetracked for a few days and kinda forgot about it. The mention of the red bone was what really caught my eye. After seeing your pics, I wish I would have remembered She does look great, much better than the pictures the seller used.

I wouldn't think there would be to many around just like it :thumbup:

Here's one that has all the DNA required for this thread. Unfortunately the condition is Rough. The blades are stamped F. WESTPFAL WALDEN NY. The bottom bolsters are stamped ACME. LG4 has this stamp used 1884 to 1940.
