Elusive Schrades

I added another 974 3” congress to my collection, early walden stamp with that very nice classic warm and rich brown peachseed bone. It has not seen too much use. Thank you Eric!

The blades are the same layout on each side and both mains are marked the same, so you can’t really tell which side is the front. I also happen to have a neat old box for this pattern. Superior knives indeed.

Great knife and box combo Paul:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

You figure we've got all the Schrades now, among us?

A simple slip and the nefarious plan is exposed...:p

No recent knives for me, but I did manage to pick up a Schrade Walden counter display. It's pretty beat up but I've got a new indoor project since it's rainy season again.

That SCC case looks to be in fine antique condition, Cal!!:)
I hope it gets to you in one piece!

I picked up another peachseed schrade walden 810 so here it is with my previous one.

Called a senator by schrade, these are the same frame as the various 3 1/8” gentlemen’s tip bolster and shadow pen knives that schrade made. Schrade also made gentlemen’s knives with solid bolsters but I don’t strictly consider the 810 to be a gentlemen’s knife. These are interesting because they are like a regular size cattle knife that was put through a shrinking machine. Pretty cool. Both are earlier examples of schrade walden before the USA was stamped on the blades and before pattern number stamps were used. Interestingly both also have a half stop on the sheepsfoot blade but the other blades do not.
