Very impressed here as well. I hadn’t seen, ‘nor handled one before either. Very few pics of detail around.
Now we know my friend....
There is only one thing missing, I believe these are of swinden bolster design and not of traditional through pin.
This will not change the “keeper” factor here

All steel, nickel and silver... zero brass. SS blades and only made in ‘84 I believe. No case or paper though. They were remarkably packaged in wooden cases.

It’s a beaut of knife. The package was in a size 10 shoebox a tad overkill I thought until I opened it up. The caring fellow had it wrapped 3 different ways for safety.

I think it's so cool that they went the extra step of using sterling bolsters and a sterling shield. Really ups the quality factor. Of course that knife was made to celebrate twenty five years of Old Timer Knives starting with this one in 1959:

Those are wonderful to see. Never knew of them until Gus and now yours.

I also added a Schrade Walden 804 this week, but slightly newer than John's, and with the jigged Delrin covers. No sabre clip, either.

Along the lines of lost knowledge, does anyone know how he achieved his amber stag? Was it dyeing or torching or a combination?
