Elusive Schrades

Agreed, Charlie. Here is my Bison from the same series in dark red bone.

Nice, Jeff!! I guess it's a "Wildlife" series??!!

Schrade made some beautiful knives for Parker-Frost in the late 1970s!!
This liner-lock slim Trapper, has a faint etch I couldn't capture that says
"Little Bandit", with a pic of a racoon, on the blade. The Redbone handle has pocketworn finish; a bright dark Red!!View attachment 2107604View attachment 2107605View attachment 2107606

I brought these both to the next page, to see if anyone else has a "Dark Red"!!??

Two recent group pics of my pearl, 2-1/4" lobster pattern knives.

I still want an example with one of the stock emblems that Schrade cataloged back-in-the-day. When I get one of those I may have aquired enough of these little gems, or not.

The 4-blade 9606 Shackle is a salesman sample and I was very pleased to finally get this higest-priced variation. It's hard to find them with full blades and no cracks or chips to the pearl.

I know that these are not knives but some cool Schade history!!! Love the Forman's book!!!

Some real beauties being shown here.

Love that Schrade Cattle Cal, and B bladecollectorr that's and impressive line up of Lobsters going on there!

Lloyd- as per usual my friend- what a stunning line up! Wow! I agree with our matey Jeff - would like to see more of that Stag 884 at some stage if possible?

Well-loved Cattle knife, Glenn!! One of the most usefully-worn Sheepfoot blades I've ever seen!! ;)

Thanks. I'm thinking that pen blade is probably original to the knife pattern. I originally thought that blade might have been a re-profiled sheep or spey, but the Schrade catalog has a 8384 cattle pattern shown with a pen blade on page 21 (22)

Glenn yep it's an 8383. Check out your Pat Appl'd punch. I believe that's an Alvord patented punch from Empire. I seem to recall Charlie mentioning at one time that Empire had an overabundance of those punches and offered them for sale to a number of knife shops. Schrade bought up a bunch as did some others. I have one or two Schrade Cuts with that punch and I've seen an old Ulster with one as well. Great find!
