Elusive Schrades

Here's one I've had awhile and just never got around to posting it, I mean, what the heck went on, did some accountant have too much to drink and get carried away with some gibberish & numbers? Regardless, it is a pretty good knife, I love the saber grind
Ha Ha!! Regardless of the excessive ink, you have a very great knife there!! 😁

I am not sure it was a gift from my brother in law in the late 70

The reason I asked, I have that same model. It belonged to a biker friend of the family in the late 70’s in Arizona. He was killed in an accident and the knife went to my uncle who kept it for 40+ years.

When he passed it was passed on to me. Here it is some 50 years later. My late uncle was a knife guy and I think he said they changed those Scrimshaws every year and this was perhaps the first year.

Murphy Slaw the first year sharpfinger scrimshaw depicted the whalers. I believe yours is the second year, circa 1977.

That surely fits the timeline that I remember. Because of that history, I’ve owned and worn a few of those Sharpfingers through the years. I will still buy American ones if I bump into them at a decent price. Those days are about over,

Thanks for your wisdom and knowledge.
