Elusive Schrades

I love the handles on the old Schrades too but for me like the title of this thread they have defiantly seemed a little elusive. Seems I can find the Case, Imperial, Camilius, Buck and so on quite easily. The Schrades however when I have found one seem to always be priced just way to high and I just don't quite trust that auction site when they state mint or like new or simular description.

That is a sweet little knife Thawk !!!!!!!!!! Gr8 photo too the colors of that Butter & Moslasses kinda makes your mouth water.
Here's a Schrade Walden NY 295K circa late 1940's. Butter & Molasses celluloid (Schrade called it K-Horn in the catalog). Little 3" serpentine jack knife. Carries some peanut genes. Nicely matched covers.

Here's a Chas.Langbein N.Y., Typesetter's Knife, very similar to a Schrade balloon whittler pattern. There's an etch on the main blade that reads R. HOE&Co.Inc New York but it is hard to see unless you have it tilted in the right light. The peachseed bone covers scream Schrade and the f&f is amazing! If I remember correctly, Charlie (a.k.a Waynorth) may have a similar knife made by Schrade. Pretty elusive one here, I think I've only seen 2.

Thanks Jamie! Check out the "Old Knives" thread posted a couple whittlers over there that I think you'll enjoy...

Great knife Nick, in excellent condition as I see it. Rare in that condition!
Chas. Langbein picked a good era to have their knives made.

Really nice split-spring configuration. Would love to see that one in action setting type!

Great find Nick, very good condition. Besides yours and charlie's I saw one or two, I think Remington made (not sure)

Now there's a question.
Ivorine/French ivory/imitation ivory-y'know -that stuff.
Is it cel? or something else?
I certainly know that when cut with a dremel it stinks and little smoking comets of it go flying off.
