Elusive Schrades

Superb example of Shrades Killer Peach-Seed right there Philllll - when you have finished with that time machine- can I borrow it for 10000 years- it will only seem like a minute I promise :-)

I love this thread!! You can pick up a conversation months later, right where you left it! I guess it is just the fascinating subject!!
Nice one Philllll! You could probably rent it to Duncan for $10,000 - - - -
At a dollar a year!!!:D

Mr. Galvanic sent me this loverly Jack - Thanks Mike!!
The blade looks like it cut maybe two boxes apart, then was retired for 65 years or so!! The jigging is still "bristly", so it was probably never carried. Never sharpened, the snap is a purrrrrfect 7 on each blade, and half stops and everything else are all nice and flush!!
Simple yet beautiful!!

If a person was only allowed one safe queen in their life, this baby would suffice!!!
:D

P.S. it is 3 3/8" long. Nice pocket knife!

Both blades are stamped, ala old school!!;)

Glad you appreciate it, Mike!
I feel very lucky to have good friends who steer me into poverty!!
JK, JK!
:D

Charlie, I'm not actually sure why you would even want such a knife . . . I mean it even has two blades and neither one is a clip,
although the bone is OK, I guess. ;) :D

But seriously, if you look up "safe queen" in the dictionary, a picture of that knife should be there. Another pure delight, thanks again!

Mike's been most helpful and generous in my quests too Inspector Charles, very nice example.

I think Philllll said it best Wow!!!! Whew!! ain't bad either
"The jigging is still "bristly"" now I know how to describe that new jigging feel:o
Congrats Charlie, that is an amazing find

Thanks Gev, Jeff, Duncan, Lyle and Rob!
Dave, I have felt that "bristly" texture on a few unused knives, especially ones jigged with narrow peachseed type jigging. The New Day Barlows have a bit of it!

Marks fantastic gift to me, how can you repay someone for something like this????

Thank you Maresharp for this amazing and beautiful HJ ....
