  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Elusive Schrades

I was just taking a few photo's today - a bad dau for it- but during our very short weekends, beggars cant be choosers, SO...while the Lightening flash and Thunder shook the House I tried to get some shots in the most appalling light .... One of these knives is one of my favourite EDC's, sharpens to a Scalpel - Whew!!!

If I was asked- "what is your most Loved Knife Handle choice"? It would be Peach Seed, followed so so closely by Red Bone and Stag..... here are three of my Peach Seeds...

Followed by this sweetheart - Gifted to me by Mr. Paul Hilborn, just a quick mention - my EDC I mentioned earlier was ALSO gifted to me by Paul..... amazing!
Wow... just look at these stunning, beautiful Knives....

Very nice Duncan! All winners for sure. I have to agree, love the Peachseed jigging on these Schrade folders:thumbup: What is the length on that gorgeous DE? Looks around 3" maybe slightly shorter. Best, Lloyd

Bang on Loyd- That wee thing has everything - Shilled Liners - the most exquisitely made wee knife that nestles all those blades in so so magnificently!!

Oh boy Duncan, what a handful! One of them by themselves would be great, but all of them together, wow!

Incredible. Being a super novice Schrade collector I'm absolutely floored by the knives presented. And still going strong after 7 years. Gotta be one of the top threads in this subforum.

Thanks to all for sharing.

Cheers again guys. Oh man there's something about Peach Seed that weakens a mans knees and the Wallet at the very same time. Not only the knees become fragile but the right hand shoulder from reaching back into the back pocket to retrieve the Wallet as well.
:o

Hello my name is meako and I suffer from Uncle Henrys Syndrome. This rare tragic disease can affect anyone.

Duncan

To play on yours and meako's comments....I too suffer from old Schraderitis :D And Duncan....those beauties that you treated us to have brought on a serious case indeed!

Thought I'd better get this Budding and Grafting knife logged in!
Bought it from an incurable knife trader after dinner in Titusville a week and a half ago!:D

Minty with strong walk and talk, it is gorgeous in person. First one of these shields I have seen!

This knife was apparently in the factory collection before it got broken up. I love the subtle shaping of the blades, the French Ivory handles - everything about it!

As another fellow said, this shield is from one of the red-handled 'scout' Schrade Walden knives of the 1950s.

Super-fine collection of Peachseed, Duncan!!
Thanks for showing us!!!

Here is a nice little pen knife I just acquired. It has stainless steel blades and the etch is still very easy to see. It has celluloid handles  but they sure are pretty. Knife is in very excellent condition and does not appear to have seen much use. Blades are full and there is very little corrosion present and only on the blade tangs obscuring the maker stamp slightly. The channel well is bright and looks new. It has sunken joints. It is 3 and 5/16 inches closed. Lloyd

What a BEAUTIFUL, clean knife Lloyd, the covers are...well...groovy:D they have a psychedelic look to them:cool::thumbup:

Hey Paul, yes psychedelic is a good description. I was thinking lava lamp when I saw it. Thanks for noticing and commenting my friend--much appreciated! Lloyd

Sweet knife, Lloyd.
There are few Schrade Cut Cos that are Stainless! They couldn't sell stainless back then! I treasure the few that I have.
