It was recommended on a camping forum and they seemed to like it. No idea personally, but I generally don't like books written from a female point of view. It was free...
Just screwing with ya! Actually, one of my favorite hiking books was written by a woman. "Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail" by Cheryl Strayed is a great read.

Is it a knock-off if the original is already made in China?? Prolly the same dang factory.
The maxped gear I have says 'designed in USA' but 'made in Taiwan' (or China, I ferget exactly what's on the label)
