engage with the Snark — every night after dark

Had a nice Christmas. Company just left, that we've had since last night. Wife and I finally get a little alone time to open up gifts, and, well, you know....

Got some cool stuff. See in a few what else is in store.

My Christmas is coming to a pleasent end. Spent all day yesterday at the wifes family, eating to much, listening to screaming kids, today was a exact repeat but with my family. Now I'm sitting with the kids watching a new Christmas movie, while sipping some of Murphs Christmas rare breed wild turkey. Wifey has dozed off on the couch. A lot of poeple out there have it a lot worse that's for sure. Its been a good Christmas.

Is anyone else here a "whovian"? Tonight was the Doctor Who Christmas special.

I'm not a huge fan of Matt Smith. He doesn't have the required amount of snark like David Tennant did, or even my preferred Christopher Eccelston.

It's finally over.

Sitting in my wrecked living room next to a million toys, my daughter got spoiled silly this year. Nice day though, and now I'm sitting by the tree with the electric fireplace on sipping some JW Black to kill the pain, eating some TackleF*** jerky getting ready to watch some Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Couldn't ask for more.

Hope all you neanderthals had good days with no big mishaps!

While I'm sitting here in the middle of nowhere playing with my BK-5, SWMBO was home cooking one of Ethan's favorites for Xmas dinner. Pesto Cheesecake. Damn it looks good. I wish I could go home and have some.

Some of the more "outdoorsy" items I got for Christmas. BushcraftUSA 10x10 G2 multicam tarp, dry bag, ditty bags, supposedly a fine cigar, haha, Coleman led MAX multi-color headlamp, fine/coarse diamond sharpening stone, campfire cook book, 14" Churchwarden pipe, and some sort of strange multi-tool hatchet thingamajig. Also, the camo fleece blanket for the backdrop, and an aluminum fold up camp table, that was a bit big for the photo.

One of the items I got for my wife was a BK14. She loves it, which I knew she would, because she always talked about how much she loved mine. So, Beckers were included this Christmas.

Anywhos, had a fine day, family and gift wise.

Is that a SAH Dubz? (Swiss Army Hatchet)

It's some off brand. Not sure what I would do with it really, from a practical standpoint. Not trying to sound ungrateful, just not sure is all. The hatchet head doesn't fold down (obviously). It would be easy to make fuzzies with it, but chopping wouldn't work too well I'm afraid.

I like that it has a wrench socket in the head, shows that the manufacturer was at least thinking about multiple functions. How's the walk and talk? If anything that is a pretty neat conversation starter.

Its a tent stake tool--for when you have to make your own. Use the hatchet to get it to a point--use the hammer to drive them in--the whole in the head is for clean breaks when cutting them to length:D
