Ergonomic Favorite Spyders?

1. Dragonfly 2 - fits my extra large hands very well when using choil
2. Delica - handle fits perfectly
3. Manix 2 - again perfect handle, but overall package is large

Worst for me ergonomically is, believe it or not, the Para 2. When I use the choil, the swell in the middle of the handle is very uncomfortable and causes fatigue. When I don't the back of the handle in the way. However, it is hard to beat the size of the overall package.

Caly 3 all the way for me, which is just about tied with a Delica with Boomer52's Li'l Para scales. Calypso Jr and Native 5 are close seconds. Stretch and Paramilitary are a bit too big, but that might be overall length or blade length more than handle size/shape. I want to like 'em, but they feel... unwieldy to me for some reason.

That said, the Rock Salt surprised me by fitting my hand way better than I expected for such a big knife. It's downright comfy & something about the handle shape makes it seem less big than it really is. (It's a gift; I'm just waitin' for the right occasion to send it off to it's permanent home.)

Military and Police 3 are perfect for me. Love the larger Spydies, have a S110V PM2 and a ZDP Endura that I like but they're too small!

Great observation concerning how ergonomic some of the bigger Spyderco models are>> also you can throw in the Sprint, G-10, C-60 Ayoob model as well as the original C-54 big Calypso as well.

The C-36 Military is probably one of the most comfortable folders I've ever used in that size range to be sure. I've yet to own one unfortunately but I've been told by two Brothers that the Szabo folder is very ergonomically comfortable as well.

Rock Salt does have an incredible grip, really

the blade feels so nice in the hand, like a small nimble folder almost

Spyderco's fixed blades and especially the TEMP 1 and the ones that they have done in the past 6 years or so all seem to have handled that fit most people like they are tailor made. The purchase/grip factor on most of Spyderco's fixed blades are superior to most anything I seen on the current market. I just wish they would do more Micarta handles like they did with the original STREETBEAT model.
