ESEE-3 Folder!?

Its safe to assume that it will be bad ass! ;) other folders are shakin in their boots...

at least my skyline is

I like it but I am a little worried about the shoulder on the blade and the thumb stud height. I think they would increase drag and turbulence making the knife louder as it flies through the air. It could be loud enough that the intended bogie would have time to evade its deathly pierce.

I passed on the HEST/f in favor of the ZT0551. Why, because I just wanted a simple, hard use folder.
This....now this is right up my alley. A good stout folder with no unnecessary extras.

Thank you. I will be getting one of these.

I realize that I may be in the minority here, but does anyone else like having a flipper on their folder? Like the one on the CRKT M-16 or M-21? Or the Buck Vantage Pro? It looks like you could add one to the ESEE-3 folder and, once the blade was deployed, the flipper would be hidden under the finger guard.

Actually, I just took another look at the prototype and I'm not sure that's true. Regardless, I still like flippers (not sure why wave-style knives get so much more attention now) and I think the sheer ease of use and convenience would fit into the no BS utility approach of ESEE design without seeming like a gimmick.

I love the simple design. Definitely on my buying list when it comes out!
And I have no problems waiting until it is fully developed by Jeff and the ESEE crew. Even if I have to wait another year.. I am sure the wait is worth it.
