No big deal, you can only work with what you have. Take a different route if possible.
Good Luck

I would rather have a fixed knife that works than a folder that was pushed thru the production line. I wonder if Lion Steel realizes how much business they lost ? Folder or not, I would rather carry my Izula.

Italians ...go figure... you know why there backing out didn't relize how big the lionspy would take off and they can't handle amount of order. Or is spyderco making it I dunno but it does suck so 2012 like I said haha

That's crappy, but let's be honest - we all really wanted it to be made in the US anyway.

Yes, Shon Rowen just emailed us on this turn of events and said he is going to double his efforts to bring the Izula and ESEE-3 folder into his shop. So, Gianni made our choice pretty simple on why we like USA manufacturing so much. Again, Gianni's quality is top notch but his sincerity is lacking. We can't deal with that even if he makes the best folder in the business.

couldn't ask for better news:thumbup::D

Brother Jeff, there's only ever one direction to move in and that's always forward. Though inconvenient and kind of a let down, it was meant to be this way. The stars didn't align for this deal and they will with someone more suited. Let's keep on truckin bro. ;)

Well........... when one door closes....... another opens, such is life. I am sure you will figure it out. You have a strong, supportive customer base.:)

It sucks and thanks for sharing what happened with us. As much as I wanted the knife in my hands as quickly as possible. just watching a bunch of stuff unfold, im sure esee the company is better of without em. Either way I look Forward to when I have the esee folder i'n my hands and with my fav logos esee and made in USA. Thanks again

This could be great news IMO. If Rowen can indeed pull it off, I'll be forced to buy one. :D:thumbup:

Booooo....oh well. Like I said before, try giving Buck or Kershaw a ring. They might be open to making a collaborative piece, as I know they both have high manufacturing capacity and often take special factory orders.

What Ben said. :thumbup: If Rowen can't do it of course.

Well, I knew Shon was a great guy before. Good on him! And I don't think there's a single person here that will be disappointed in the forwarding of a US made folder, especially out of his shop. Sounds to me like a bad deal is kicking out some good results.

Thanks to Shon and the Rowen crew and ESEE.

God bless,
Adam

Maybe the best thing to hear in that situation... Let's hope for Shon being able to free some capacities for this project to get it realised asap. But as you already said, its a project and the world will not stop spinning due to a delay although it might feel just like that for some ESEE'holics in here ;-)

Thanks for keeping us updated, really appreciate that transparency and homesty!

sickkk ill take both.... I just hope american made d2 can keep up with that GERMAN made d2... made in germany must be good hahaha
