ESEE-3F Folder with Lion Steel is Canceled!

As I have said before, growing up I watched my dad doing exactly what Jeff did . . . . shook hands with a man and gave him his word. That was his bond on just about every deal I can remember him doing running our farm. If this had been my dad, he had better hope he would not run into him anywhere in public for a long time . . . .

Great news. Mr. Rowen is the man for stepping up. I hope all appreciate the pressure this puts on him. ( I know you do, just funnin') All things happen for reason, and I feel that reason is to keep this thing MADE IN THE USA!

I just can't believe all the wasted time and a deal was struck at SHOT and then turn away like that is a terrible thing to do...... :thumbdn:

I hope Shon can squeeze it in but Shon is a Busy man too & a perfectionist to say the least :D tha man's wheels are always turning & thinking :thumbup: Gotta respect that for sure :)
 
Wow what a shame. I would have really loved to see this knife come to fruition. Sorry to all you die-hard ESEE fans!
 
I do know that while Gianni's quality is excellent, Shon's folder quality will simply be the best.

JUST1MOR: I have lived on handshake deals all my life. I take a man's word as being a contract. Sadly, the world doesn't always operate that way ;)
 
Its a shity thing to do, but it is what it is. If Shon ends up making the folder, then it was actually a good thing. But there you go, some people you can trust and some people you learn you cant.

Tom, this project would not even be where it's at if it hadn't been for you. We can't thank you enough. We intend to fly you over next year to attend SHOT show so you can stand in the booth with your ESEE-3F folder design made by Rowen :D
 
I live by john wayne rules. Shaking on a deal is a deal. People who do the shake and back out are ckicken expletives and shoulda spoke up with concerns in the first place. Someone needs to step up from the US and make this knife. If you build it they will come.

This is good news in the long run. It will take longer to get the folder made, but you will be able to continue doing business with a reliable US Manufacturer. I'll just play with my HEST folder until that happens. That is, if the HEST folder ever gets here. :eek:

It was probably meant to be I guess. ESEE's are meant to be made in the USA.

Best of luck on this project. I think most every one of us business owners have gone through similar situations at some point in our careers. When it happens it sucks, but sooner or later it always seems to work out for the best. As long as your intentions are good, your partners and you continue on your current path, and you take care of your customers, you will always see happy people loving your products.
