But...maybe I'm not understanding what you're saying ( just got home from having my big toe nail ripped out and acid put on it to kill the nail root, and I'm chasing vicodin with scotch (it's safe to drink with narcotic painkillers, right? Well, if I don't log on later, it's because I didn't get up and am dead. With that being said. . .)...I mean I want it shaped like a spear head, no bend like a trowel, no round "socket" handle. A spear head (shaped almost exactly like the pic of the arrowhead, but scaled up). Sure, you could grab the shank and use it like a knife, or wrap the shank, or put a short haft on it. But it would be making due with a spear head in lieu of a knife.

Am I making sense? It makes sense to me. Johnnie Walker Black makes everything make sense.

Who are you and what the hell are you doing in my thread that Jeff started?? ;)

Ah. I think you were perhaps misreading my posts. I posted up the trowel bayonet as an example a a spear head made multi-purpose. I actually stated that a design like that without the bent handle and a regular spear socket would be quite a handy thing.

I, in turn, misunderstood that you wanted a tanged-construction spear head and not one with a socket. The first concept image that I posted (in regards to the third head size) is closer to what you were talking about, right?

Anyhow, one way or the other I'm excited for the arrow heads themselves and will definitely pick up at least one of each size. :)

I can't believe that we, the members of this forum, could actually misread or misinterpret an post! :D

Definitely seems like a good item to have in a survival kit. Very universal little knife. Good job.

1. Train your nail with the tip of a fingernail file and you don't have to go through this shit. Assuming this is an ingrown nail problem that got out of hand.

2. Drink Ketel One or Gray Goose Vodka. The problem with a bottle of Scotch is...it's full of Scotch.

3. Acetominophen and alcohol can cause severe problems. Don't do that, mmmmkaaaay? :D

4. There is Acetominophen in Vicodin.

5. My god, the genius...the RAT Err-haid as a toenail trainer and nailbed prybar. The Podiatrist wept.

Confused????

First post!

This is a new little project we mentioned a while back. Should be shipping the smallest (# 1 size) at SHOT show. Not sure what pricing will be but I'm sure you'll like it. These can be used for various purposes, thrown is a small kit, etc. Just a small survival item that has uses for certain tasks.

Has anyone ever made a bow in the field? (in all seriousness, I would love to try and make a bow in the field and use it to hunt)

Unless I am interpreting the product wrong, the primary idea of an arrowhead is to dress in a loin cloth and use the arrowhead with a bow while chanting primally. (okay the loin cloth thing is just a joke, but seriously have any of you made a bow?).

an atl' atl?
a thin spear?
a neckless for your GF? (does it come in Izula-pink?)

I agree with this to sell them all together for a better price than sold individually, but they should also all be sold individually.

While in scouts, we got ahold of some locust, split it, and used draw knives to shave them down into bows, using old Iroquois patterns. Then we made some glue and covered them in died out deer tendons, and wove our own strings. I wish I knew where it wound up. The time invested was substantial.

As for making one in the field, I'm probably going to attempt it, but I don't hold much hope for it. Bending a stick and using some paracord seems the easiest option, but I'm not sure what kind of force it'll be able to generate.

You're not drinking old enough scotch :)

Glen Morangie, however the hell it is spelled, 10 years old. I am not footing the bill for anything more expensive than that. I'm an old Kraut, man, I have that Prussian thing going on, Wodka und Schnapps, bitte.

Awesome. It is something I would really like to try. I posted this question in the WSS forum too. Before I give it a try I would really like to see some pictures. I have done some light reading on what kind of wood to use, but I have never seen it done and I am a visual learner.

thanks for the post:)

I saw one of those many years ago in virginia, while in the scouts. the draw wieght on the bow was substantial and didn't provide a very big draw length, but had a heavy draw weight. The velocity it generated was impressive.
