Ive been away on a rail adventure with my wife and son. 54 seperate rail rides covering 5000km in 14 days. Today im prepping for some early summer morning hunts. I've decided to bring along the Junglas for a while.



Ive only got the essentials in my pouch.

ESEE makes the Izula without scales in SV35. Most of the others are 1095.

Out for a test setup with my new underquilt yesterday.... Esee 4 came along to help out with my coffee
See how it's attached to the hammock and if it fits properly.

During my walk to to a suitable sport came across this papershedding birch... too nice not to put some of this super thin bark in my pocket.

Hammock setup, Hennessey Classic

After just a few minutes this was the result with the underquilt on there, seems like a proper fit to me. It's from the Geer Top brand (cheap), feels sturdy but is a bit bulky in my pack even when fully compressed.

One thing that'll take me some getting used to is that my hammock is a bottom entry type, so I have to pull the underquilt to the side to get in or out.

Time for lunch
Filled the Firebox with the birchbark from earlier and made some feathers with my Esee 4 to get the fire started.

Put my mug on for coffee

Then we wait...

Then there's coffee and some cheese sandwiches, good times

Not I said the fly...... Can always. Dress.for the cold......in the heat you can only remove so many clothes
before you get locked up or gross people out.......Either way your still Sweatin' thru that...

WOW.. We are expecting 10-16in of snow Sat into Monday and single digit temps..
The weather sure is crazy all over!!
