How many hours of darkness are you getting ( average. ). in the winter at your latitude.An early morning drive to my family farm to have a bit of a shot.

Trees are few and far between here on the farm. I was beside this tree whistling for a fox until things brightened up. I got a red fox.

I moved to another area of the farm looking to shoot a rock dove or 2. They land on the tree in the background.

in summer the sun sets about 830pm but you can still use open sights on a rifle till 930ish but by then its getting too dark. so sunset to sunrise is 10 hours. And opposite in winter 14 hours. NYC is in the N 40's latt so less than 9 hours daylight mid winter......and 15 + or - in summer...

Yes sir...in summer the sun sets about 830pm but you can still use open sights on a rifle till 930ish but by then its getting too dark. so sunset to sunrise is 10 hours. And opposite in winter 14 hours. Im on Lat. S34° I hope this makes sense mate.
Be hard to lose that one. I have an older one with the skull on it somewhere around here. They are nice knives.
