Esnyx Custom Knives

Here is my latest creation. A 3 7/8" dogleg jack done in 1095, stainless, and desert ironwood burl. I went a little different with this build, and put a swedge that travels down the entire spine. I really like how comfortably this pattern fits in your hand. What do you guys think of it?

You are absolutely correct! It is an AMAZING feeling!! danceshout.gif

Beautiful knife. That is one I would seriously consider buying as I like single clip blade knives. Best of luck in your new venture.

Evan,
Beautiful knife. I can't tell you how many times I almost replied "I'll take it" on your for sale thread. I'm a sucker for good ironwood Burl and have had my eyes open for a nice ironwood slipjoint. Other knife expenses kept me from pulling the trigger.
Questions for you: do you think the swedge over the entire length of that blade made the pattern stand out or do you think it muted the lines of the blade shape? Was the small nail nick used due to the swedge or was it just your personal preference? What did you like most about the final product and what did you like least? Just curious what your responses are. Either way, I'm very excited to see one of your finished pieces and am sure you will have a strong following based on the posted dogleg. Keep posting work like this and I'm sure I'll end up with one of your knives in my pocket!

That's a beauty Phil, and likely to be a very collectible knife down the road.

The ebony looks vaguely familiar....

I was just about to send you a message and see how the shop was coming along. Now I know. I hope we can do some business and perhaps you can make me my "grail" knife. Best of luck in the future.

Congrats on the shop Evan! I should have the mammoth Beerlow tomorrow and I'll be sure to get some pictures in here. Thanks for everything bud, it was great talking with you last week. I'll be sure to get on your waiting list at some point!

Excellent beerlow Brisket. Here's the one I just got from Evan. Thanks bud!!

Jake, your beerlow came together beautifully! I love the colors in the ivory, and the threaded long bolster is perfect. Big congrats!
