Esnyx Custom Knives

Great job Evan! I like your shield choice, it fits nicely with the filework on your handles.:cool:

Awesome knife Evan, not an easy one to make but you have succeeded in putting it together just great. Scales are amazing.

Mike

turned out real nice!

Evan what would you call this type of scale, as you mentioned it's your take on the SAK alox covers...multi-scratted, snakeskin, checkered. And all hand done...well done:thumbup:.

Thank you for the compliments, Russell and Lyle!

As promised, here are pics of the completed cub scout.

I based the shape of the main blade off the the spear on this old Schrade scout.

Lookin' good!!!

Evan,
Thank You for showing me the Scout Knife in person last week.
On a scale of 1 to 10, it's a TWENTY.

Like I told you at the Rendezvous Evan, that knife is simply cool as $**%.

When Evan first handed it to me, I thought it had a sheepsfoot blade. It was a pleasant surprise to see it turn into a spear as I opened it. Great work!

I wonder if the Schrade was originally a sheepsfoot that was worn away from sharpening.

Evan : I really did not think that you could do any better than your Dad's Lanny's Clip , but you might have just done it young man. It is a real pleasure to see your work.

Pics look fantastic Evan !!! Knife is even better in person - top grade work !!! ;):thumbup::)

The cub is small in person and that makes it even more impressive.

That latest piece is fantastic Evan. Your skills continue to grow and impress.

Thanks, guys! The knife is right around 3.5" closed, with blades and springs in CPM 154.

Swaybacksteve, I would call the scales "checkered bone".

That's a nice little knife, Evan! I really like the gunstock checkering on the bone and that you used CPM154. Congrats on a fine looking knife all around.

Evan,
I've always had a thing for Boy Scout knives and I really like this piece.
One question, IMHO the center pin is too close the edge, aren't you afraid of cracking the bone?

Some of your knives are a little funky for my taste but my lord, all of your most recent work is phenomenal. That Cub Scout is one of the best handmade multi blade knives I've seen. It's a beautifull representative of your unique style and ever growing skill and talent.

Oh My!!!!! That Cub Scout is ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT work Evan - just stunning, I love everything about that knife!
