Esnyx Custom Knives

The new webpage looks great Evan! I see quite a few there that I'd like to have in my collection. :)

Thanks, Barry!

Phil dropped his pruner off for a bath this weekend. I am quite happy with how the dye turned out!

It has been waaaaay too long since I have updated this thread. Well here we go!

The bottom three in these pics are some Ettricks I made for Charlie, I hope he doesn't mind that I used his pics!

We have Number 22, 23 and 24, here. The top one is ram's horn, middle is Cocobolo, and bottom is elephant ivory. All in 1095.

Very nice ettrick knives Evan, the smooth ram's horn is very interesting. The SBJ looks like S&M version of cotton sampler, I like it a lot.

Very nice knives Evan. I was just thinking about you the other day and how we haven't heard from you recently. Thanks for sharing these.

Very nice to see you around these parts, Evan!
Some nice looking Stag  work there!!*

Thanks fellas!

I've been poking my head in here every once in a while, but have not contributed as much as I used to. Something I hope to change here soon.

Having some experience as a small business owner, I know that the one thing you don't have is time. Given the choice I'd rather you were out there making beautiful knives like these. I love seeing that hat wearing dog pop up, but going without is a small price to pay to know that there's another maker of your caliber out there putting out knives like those ettricks.

Beautiful stuff, Evan! You've come a long way, good sir.

Thanks guys, your support means a lot to me.

I've pretty much been out of commission the last few weeks, as I have been building a 10x10 shed in my back yard for storage. Now I can move all the stuff out of my garage and build a nice workshop in there. It should save me a pretty penny on rent and electricity (not to mention saving on gas and eating out for lunch).

As of today, the shed is almost done, except for some trim and a little bit of flashing. This gave me a nice break from knives, and let me put my mind to some engineering designs and carpentry work. I designed it myself and built it all from scratch with some assistance from my dad. Check it out!

Of course I had a knife with me the entire time. Number 26 was in my back pocket to do any dirty work needed. This knife has been to hell and back, and is still thirsty for more. Even after scoring wood and aluminum, prying, setting screws, taking some serious drops, and of course cutting whatever I needed it to, it still is sharp enough to shave with. The more I use CPM 154, the more I like it! Here she is!

She's 4.5" closed, and has birds eye bocote scales, stainless hardware, and CPM 154 blade and spring. This knife was my first time using a bronze bushing in the pivot. After my last visit to Tony Bose's shop, he convinced me to start using bronze bushings in my knives. Well, to say the least, I love how they work, and I plan on using them in my future customs. For the foreseeable future, this knife is going to be sitting in my back pocket.
