Estate collection

I went to Arizona Custom knives and went through over 90 pages of listings back to 2015 to get a feel for value and see what models go for...Carful use did not destroy the value! As long as it was taken care of and not abused older knives increased in value as MSRP on new ones gradually went up. It helps that Randall makes basically the same knife for over 50 years.

If I were you Mike I'd keep that #23.You can send that knife to Sullivans Holster Shop in Odessa,Fla. and they'll make a sheath for it.They provide all of the sheaths for Randall Made Knives.

This one of over 40 Randalls I have in my collection and an example of their fine work.

I'm keeping it. Lol. First Randall. Thank you for the info.

I thought about getting one from them but I think I'll build one. Cool blade shape makes for a great looking sheath.
I have some Sedgewick English bridal leather I like using. I hate to copy someone else's work so I'll mix it up.

Pic of the leather.

Good for you! I’m glad you are keeping it.

It would be silly for you to buy a sheath from anyone. Your sheaths are every bit as nice as anything I’ve seen from Randall. Actually I take that back yours are nicer.

I sent some pictures to Tops knives of this one. I wasnt sure what brand because their was no name on the blade only the name tops in small print on the back of the sheath. Looked like a tops 107 mode . Scales were different also. Dylan from tops replied and said yes the knife is a very early 107D model back when they hand ground the knives. He asked if i would take the scales off and let him know what number was wrote under the scales. Number 4 was there and he said that was number 4 of that run possibly made in 1999 or 2000. This old guy got around back in the day.IMG_20190903_091307_124.jpg IMG_20190903_091237_885.jpg 20190829_235245.jpg 20190829_235220.jpg

Yeah, there is a waiting list 5-6 years out to buy new. Or pay much more from dealers that seem to have a way in.
Buck Shack, there are Randall dealers that sell the knives for the prices listed in the Randall catalog. You do have to wait...but not 5-6 years, the longest I've seen recently is 11 months.

Thats pretty wild. That guy definitely put together a diverse collection in his life. From old school traditional to modern tactical he collected it all and had some beautiful pieces.

I was curious..did any of the knives show any use even light use?
There was one or two that possibly had some minor wear. I went ahead and purchased the safe out of their basement. It gets delivered today. Pretty good sized safe that will work great to keep these knives in. It has an dehumidifier built in. Bad part it must weight over 400lbs.

Nice! I made a cynderblock platform for mine. To elevate it off the floor. For water and access. It has worked well. Make sure you bolt it down.

Yes, it came with a dehumidifier and it has a plug access port on the bottom. I will tackle getting the safe on a platform so I can plug the part in.

Those little sealed box time capsules are neat. But I hate having them. All it takes is one moment of weakness. Lol.

What kind of dehumidifier did the safe come with? I’ve never seen one that went through the best from.
