I must admit, I have been wanting to see the Smokies since I was a kid...so Im almost as excited about the location of the Gathering as I am about the actual Gathering! ...almost. I may take a day or 2 before or after the Gathering to camp out and explore the Park a little

There are some great places to go. Just let us know and we can help on places and suggestions. I came here 22 years ago on my honeymoon and said if I ever had the chance to move anywhere, we were going to move here. We did 13 years ago and have done everything to stay since.

Scottish immigrants settled here. Quite a few, actually. There is a museum in Franklin Tn. called the Scottish Heritage Museum. Shows the influence of the Cherokee and Scottish in the area.
